Cadillac Offers Cash Plus 0 Percent Financing For XT4 In December 2019

The most generous Cadillac offer for the 2019 XT4 so far this year occurred back in August, when a combined discount of $1,000 cash plus interest-free financing was offered on the small CUV. Since then, Cadillac has scaled back its incentives for the XT4. For instance, last month’s offer only gave buyers the option of either $1,000 cash or low-interest financing. But for December 2019, a new Cadillac discount gives prospective buyers another shot at the combined discount of $1,000 cash plus interest-free financing.

Incentives

Nationwide Cadillac offers for the XT4 in December 2019 are as follows:

  • Retail offer: $1,000 cash on any XT4 model (for everyone)
  • Finance offer: $1,000 APR cash + 0 percent APR financing for 72 months. This offer is not available in conjunction with other offers.

It’s worth pointing out that Cadillac is no longer providing a special lease offer for current GM lessees.

For reference, here are the 2019 XT4 trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $995 destination charge included:

  • Luxury – $35,790
  • Premium Luxury – $40,290
  • Sport – $40,290

As such, the $1,000 combined Cadillac offer reduces the starting price of the XT4 Luxury model to $34,790 (including destination) and eliminates the extra cost of financing.

It would seem that the lack of major Cadillac discounts on the XT4 is a result of strong demand for the small luxury utility vehicle, since GM and most other automakers typically keep incentives to a minimum when a particular model is enjoying strong demand and tight supply. To elaborate, XT4 sales totaled 8,986 units during the third quarter and 23,092 units during the first nine months of 2019.

  1. I thought per Mark Ruess it was the hottest selling vehicle in its segment HAHA
I am so disappointed what GM has done to Cadillac. They deserve so much better than all of this.

    1. Agreed and did anyone notice the article is dated January 1,2020 but is for incentives through December 2019? Could not Only GM be behind the curve but also GM Authority?

  2. That blue sport model looks really good.

My beef with Cadillac on this one is that the XT4 doesn’t seem to have a lot of standard equipment and the prices climb very high, very quickly. It’s common to see an XT4 with an MSRP near the $50,000 level.

For that price, a buyer can go for the larger GLC, XC60, or X3 if they are careful with the options.

    1. Even worse than that, in a couple of Months Customers will be able to get a Tesla Model Y AWD for about $55,000 which will kill most of these vehicles in sales.

  3. Cadillac like other car makers aren’t interested in earning a few dollars from interest payments because it is small compared with the profits of selling the car itself; this is why some car brands are able to cut prices and give zero-percent interest rates to sell their cars.
