For the month of January 2020, a new Cadillac CTS discount cuts the price of the midsize luxury sedan by $3,000. The automaker is no longer offering combined incentives that include both a cashback rebate and interest-free financing, as it did in recent months.
It’s worth noting that the headline-making offer doesn’t apply to the range-topping, high-performance CTS-V model, its very last unit having been produced in April 2019 and painted Velocity Red.
Incentives
The Cadillac CTS discount offer for January 2020 is as follows:
- Retail offer: $3,000 purchase allowance
- Excludes CTS-V model
The above offer will run thru February 3rd, 2020. Applied to a 2019 Cadillac CTS Standard model, the $3,000 discount reduces the starting price to $44,990.
For reference, here are the 2019 Cadillac CTS trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $995 destination charge included:
- Standard – $47,990
- Luxury – $53,690
- Premium Luxury – $61,190
- V-Sport – $62,690
- V-Sport Premium – $72,790
- CTS-V – $87,990 (excluded from this month’s offer)
For those who may not realize it, production of the Cadillac CTS and CTS-V has already ended, with 2019 being the sedan’s final model year. It has been indirectly replaced by the 2020 Cadillac CT5 in the brand’s lineup.

About Cadillac CTS
The Cadillac CTS is a midsize luxury sedan family that includes the CTS Sedan, CTS V-Sport Sedan, and ultra high-performance CTS-V variant. The vehicle slots above the compact Cadillac ATS and below the full-size Cadillac CT6.
The current, third generation CTS was introduced for the 2014 model year. The vehicle is based on the extended-length wheelbase variant of the GM Alpha platform. The same platform underpins the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro while a shorter variant of the same architecture underpins the Cadillac ATS.
For the 2018 model year, the CTS gets a new exterior color, an automatic heated steering wheel, the all-new CUE 3.0 infotainment system, and the deletion of the Carbon Black Package. For the 2019 model year, the CTS loses several exterior colors as well as the Morello Red Package, while the CTS-V loses two exterior colors, gains two more, and deletes the Championship Edition package. The CTS is expected to be replaced by an entirely new, next-generation model called Cadillac CT5 for the 2020 model year.
The Cadillac CTS is built exclusively at the GM Lansing Grand River factory in Michigan operated by GM USA. The vehicle is currently not offered in China, which will likely change for the CT5, since we expect a GM China factory to build the CT5 for the Chinese market.

The Cadillac CTS was a great car. I think Cadillac has made a huge mistake by discontinuing it. I think the car should be updated and brought back as a Seville. Maybe with a 4 bucket seat option and possibly suicide doors.
