2021 Yukon Denali: Live Photo Gallery

The 2021 model year brings a complete overhaul for the GMC Yukon nameplate, with new styling, a new platform, new equipment, and a whole lot more. Customers are once again offered sumptuous luxury and comfort by way of the range-topping 2021 Yukon Denali trim level, and now, we’re taking a closer look in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

The first thing to notice about the new 2021 Yukon Denali is the restyled exterior, which comes with a reshaped front end punctuated by a larger polished grille. The grille once again comes with a bright Galvano chrome finish, and sports an intricate insert design. Complementary chrome trim can be found elsewhere on the body, giving the new look even more flash.

The nose also shows off with C-shaped front lighting signatures, LED daytime running lamps, and LED headlamps and fog lamps.

True to form for a premium full-size SUV, the 2021 Yukon Denali offers some big wheel options, with sizing up to 22 inches in diameter. Fourth-generation Magnetic Ride Control, plus Air Ride Adaptive Suspension are also on offer. In back, we find a set of LED tail lamps.

Moving into the cabin, the 2021 Yukon Denali is equipped with a unique interior design and dash layout. Unlike the rest of the lineup, the Denali trim level comes with an infotainment screen that’s integrated with the dash, rather than a stand-up screen as can be found across the rest of the lineup.

The 2021 Yukon Denali also comes with unique seating, with leather upholstery that’s hand-cut and stitched into a Denali-specific pattern. There’s wood trim, four unique interior color themes, and an optional panoramic sun roof as well.

Standard spec for the 2021 Yukon Denali is the naturally aspirated 6.2L L87 V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, while the rest of the line gets the naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8 as standard.

Stay tuned, as we have more posts on the next-gen SUV coming down the pipe. In the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more GMC Yukon news, GMC news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  1. This looks so great! To me, easily the best of the T1s. (I think it will beat the Escalade, also). I do sort of miss Denali’s having unique smokey tail lamps.

  2. Beautiful vehicle. Only minor critique is the dash looks tall, especially the upper part where the vents are and over past the steering wheel, just looks kinda high. Having never sat in it i could be wrong.

  3. I wonder if it will have ambient lighting on the inside. This already looks better than the Navigator. The only thing I don’t like about this version is the side badging. Breaks up the sexy look of it to me. Still, I love this truck and it only has me excited to see that the Escalade has in store.

  5. Other than the fact it grew by nearly 7 inches, it’s still a really nice SUV. For those who need a larger Yukon, that is what the XL is for. The Yukon is growing too large. Otherwise, this is a beautiful SUV. I hope the technology is impressive. The quad tailpipes are a nice touch. GMC did a great job to distinguish the Denali from the rest of the Yukon lineup and also from the Tahoe, which is also great-looking for ’21.

    1. Ron,
Your statement ” the Yukon is growing too large ” I do agree with. That exact statement is why I feel GM/GMC is really missing the sales boat here. If GMC would truly be the TRUCK badge of GM, I think, they could capitalize on the opportunity, if not to late already.
As these Yukon 1500s have grown larger, leaves several customers, including myself, out in the cold. This is a great vehicle so I do not want to take away from that, yet I feel id GM/GMC would simply make 3 versions of this same vehicle, like I said, they could capitalize on it.
The two large of the Yukon type vehicles could even be the same, yet the smaller of the three, needs to be around Traverse size.
The top ” large ” needs to be, this vehicle or so in a HD form, Duramax or 6.6 gasser, for those who simply want to pull and haul people while doing so.
The next step down, this exact vehicle is fine, great really !
The next step down needs to be the Traverse size, or Canyon size, in a RWD setup, just like this vehicle, for when the ” rural traveler ” per say, just want to haul 4 people comfortably maybe pulling a boat or Ranger type vehicle. You know you could squeeze 5 smaller adults or children in, for the weekend of outdoors and just go.

I know that is how the Acadia and Terrain are marketed, yet everyone knows its just the same old average GM blah mid-sized vehicle, and those who want this very vehicle, if they are not GM brand loyalists, are simply buying Jeeps or that type vehicle. or even just the Canyon, like myself. If GMC would have offered this exact vehicle in the Canyon, Grand Cherokee, size vehicle, I would have that in my garage in Denali or AT4 options.

Sure if GM offered three, it would rob some sales from this as people move around in the GMC badge lineup, but just like Cadillac is doing in its SUV line, GMC could add overall sales by bringing new and non loyalists in !

GMC needs to get out of the car business ( Acadia, and Terrain ) and position itself in GM as a TRUCK brand !

  7. The extra 7 inches makes up my mind for me, now I do not need to consider the longer version.

  8. I really like this a lot. For some reason, I don’t recall having seen any interior pics of the non-Denali trim. Have they shown them here? The dash does look quite tall from the pic (like Cadillac Matt said above), but it may seem better sitting inside. I love the layout of the dash too with the integrated screen. Very classy and should give the Denali something to stand apart from the rest.

  9. Really hoping they stepped up and put massage seats in… for $45k in the Ford lineup you can get that feature and it’s little things like that which sways a persons decision
