2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SS Rendered

Just last week, we featured an exclusive rendering showing off the all-new, next-generation 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe with a two-door body style. Now, we’re back at it again with this – a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SS.
Before we dive into the rendering, it bears mentioning the standard disclaimer that, as far as we know, General Motors doesn’t have any intentions of actually producing a next-gen 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SS model. Rather, we created this rendering just to see what such a creation could look like.
With that covered, lets check out what we’ve got.
This rendering takes inspiration from the two-door Chevrolet Tahoe we posted last week, which means we once again have just one door per side when it comes to ingress and egress. The broad rear metal and glass sections of our previous rendering remain, as does the next-gen Tahoe’s styling for the front and rear fascias.
However, in order to bless this thing with the proper attitude, we’ve covered it in deep black paint, while the trim sections are in a complementary black as well. We also threw on a set of sizable alloy wheels at the corners. The wheels are wrapped in high-performance rubber, and house enormous slotted brake rotors. What’s more, the ride height was lowered to give the SUV just the right stance for a Chevrolet Tahoe SS street performance aesthetic.
Of course, to make this thing truly worthy of the SS badge, it’s gonna need the right amount of muscle under the hood. As such, we decided to equip our Chevrolet Tahoe SS with the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8, the same lump as the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Cadillac CTS-V, and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. We think 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque would be about right to get the job done.
Naturally, we also added a “LT4 SS” decal to the rearmost section of out 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SS rendering, lest anyone forget what’s lurking under the hood.
As a reminder, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is expected to offer a new high-performance variant with a supercharged Small Block for motivation, likely the LT4 or a slightly updated variant thereof.

At least it’s not RED…
However 6.2 not supercharged at 500+ hp Z71 4×4 …
I would buy tomorrow better towing, much larger market GM build them and they will come…
👍👍👍
Fx4man ,my comment about the tahoe ss ,is my comment, so be it,mind your own .yes I am a ford guy ,I just drive a tahoe as my daily driver and it’s been a good rig so fx4fuckfaceman ,mind your own.
Fx4 is a package of Ford trucks…
Z71 is a package for GM trucks…
Not sure about if it’s a man or a woman ???
I don’t think the big 3 realize that large 2 door suvs like this could be “a more profitable muscle car” that could have incentives thrown at it. This thing with fully independent suspension, available awd, and a 155 mph top speed would make itself “the American ute” because it would be something unique that rest of the world doesn’t have. It would be truly an American Grand Tourer.
“street performance aesthetic” = ghetto look
Ghetto has nothing to do with it. I owned a 99 and 96 2×2 that were customized and I never met anybody that I knew from the ghetto driving them. I’m in the business and yes there some skewed customization on some late-model Tahoes but its all a part of the huge number of spokes in this multi-billion dollar hobby/industry called the specialty aftermarket. Although this is a collective of enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, those true to the the lifestyle respect each others quest for individuality.
Man, who is this Fx4man? Dude, have you really nothing better to do than troll around here like a depressed, pubescent middle schooler? What are you, a FordAuthority implant? If so, I’m surprised, I expected a bit more intellectual capability from their choice troll boy.
troll? wow, I’m surprised at your originality .. did you copy and paste?
Fx4
You are what you are….
Fx4man……….GTFOH
I would love to have 2021 chevy Tahoe LT4 SS in that color exactly. With Maroon plush leather.
Tilt the B pillar slightly forward and make it a NOMAD SS.
In 4wd heck yeah! Give me the Midnight Edition pls…with full length dual exhaust and interior lockable compartment for my pistol. That or a C-8…
YES!!!! I’ll be ordering a black one
Ghetto or not I think it’s super badass ,we chevy guys have to compete with the dodge bros..and it’s about time . I’m a ford guy but I do drive a tahoe daily. So there you go two thumbs up ,I like it ..it would look awesome in any color scheme I bet .
you don’t seem overly bright. Make up your mind.
Are you a Chevy guy or are you a Ford guy?? And
“badass”.. what are you, 16?
Fx4man: I’ve been a chevrolet guy myself until i got a Ford expedition eddie bauer that kick’s the Taho’s; Suburban’s Azz out of Shark congested water’s! But Also my 1st Gen. expo is also a better reliable styling statement than the Durango! But I’m not Knocking any brand because i still think all Dodge auto’s fall short on many area’s! My Choice opinion brands are: Ford & Chevrolet! I used 2 be stuck-up on Chevrolet til General motor’s Put their carbon copied auto’s into production; Since the Drawing board’s “HAVE NOT FOLLOWED SUIT TO THEIR PLATFORMS [the way the drawing board employee drew it up]”?!
Ford has a strong suspension truck and great styling but that’s where it ends for me.
Fx4man ?
How about you Fx4 I think you drive a ford truck or just like a ford truck guy…
You sure are getting emotionally triggered about this. You need help or a bullet, pick one. Also, please dont breed. You can have the last word son.
Someone in the custom industry will build one. There were 2 2018’s that I know of that was converted from a Suburban into a 2×2. I had a 96 and 99 2×2 and they were great. They bring big bucks for nice ones.
Meddieocer at best, 😴😴😴
How old are you SUPER BADASS ??? 😂😂😂
ahhh, an English major. It’s like fighting an un-armed man.
I would love to own a Tahoe SS, we must convince GM to actually build it.
I like the idea of fast SUV but this render is just garbage.
AWESOME!
OMG, another worthless rendering, a big black SUV with black wheels on it, is this the undercover police hearse?
And what am I looking at? Even on my desktop I can really not see anything not that it matters it’s a waste of time concentrate on what people want. Seems despite GM going bankrupt and the reorganization there’s still people working there that just waste time and money.
This is what people want!! This is what the blazer should of been. We need standard cab short bed trucks and 2 door full size suv’s Back!!! Gm please listen to us!
The K-5 bring it back.. Going for the Bronco now.
There are practical reasons the Big 3 gave up on two door SUVs, but the biggest one was problematic access to the rear seats, especially if one or both front seats are occupied. Nobody thought about that, right?
Front seats had different tracking, lean the seat forward, seat slides forward, then passenger gets in, lean the seat back and presto passenger in seat returns to previous position.
Not ROCKET science.
If you’re to lazy to get out to let your passengers in,
W.T.F. NOT A DEAL BREAKER….
Bet you didn’t think about that ???
the seat is flat, how in hell can you lean it forward, Einstein.
Oh, you mean the “seat back”.. not everybody wants to climb behind
the small space between the seatback and the door frame an duck
low enough to get into the back seat. Guessing you and your Suburu
are very happy together.
I drive a ’99 2door Tahoe 4×4 daily. The reason I wanted it, was because it sits high, has a v8, and a short wheel base. (which means small turning radius)
It’s almost always just me in the vehicle. However, when I do get two or three others they get in on the passenger side and go back to a spacious bench seat.
I could care less about the access to the back seat as I am not the one going back there to sit.
A 2 door Tahoe is not meant to haul 3 or 4 people all the time.
Hey ford guy…
Guess you have never owned Blazers or been in one for that matter.
It’s tuff getting into my Camaro and my Vette and that’s the front seat.
I can take your DISRESPECT .
Go back to your ford blog troll…
Fx4man lol
Damn they should “revamp” the 2 door full-size 1500 blazer from the early 90s…
Very nice. I would buy one
Actually I like the make believe SS as shown. But we’ll never see it. What we might see is the regular Tahoe four door Premier version with a lowered stance, gut buster suspension, standard sized wheels in black, and a badge/sticker package – with the drastically inflated price that generally comes with the offering.
I like the idea of the SS line coming to GM vehicles other than the Camaro. It seems like a good idea because it has a “sleeper” vibe to it.But, will GM actually make these or are they just posting these to see a reaction or is it for publicity.
if you’d actually read the first sentence, then the following
paragraph, you’d see this is a “rendering” from GMAUTHORITY,
NOT FROM GM. thanks for playing..
Dennis dillen; the menis is a used car dealer; not a New car dealer! So DD is not affiliated w/ GM’s head quarter’s! If the 2 front seats do as bucket seat’s were designed; You would not NEED A CREW CAB designed platform to build from!!
I love the look!! I think it would be awesome in a four wheel drive as well.
Not that low to the ground; it won’t! Even w/upgraded springs!
Go ahead and slap a affordable $90,000 GM price tag on it.
See, this is/was part of the problem with American carmakers, everything has to be “affordable”. VW have no problem selling a sub $20k Golf and Polo around the world but make $500k-$1mil Lambo, EB, and Bentleys and no one’s crying.
Either get a used car, buy a less expensive version or get a good deal on the expensive version..
Just get a real job then maybe keep it for awhile save money for big down payment…
90k for a well built vehicle isn’t out of the question.
Little cross covers aren’t meant to last much more than the warranty then buy another little cheap P.O.S. that just the way it is.
Can’t be a used car salesperson all your life…
And the rear window must go down into the tailgate!
