1975 Buick Regal Colonnade Up For Sale in Illinois: Video

There’s something inexplicable about the affection that enthusiasts have for certain cars. The way it looks, the way it sounds, the way it drives… it’s all just, well, perfect. Someone had exactly that sort of connection with this 1975 Buick Regal Colonnade. With just one owner in its history, this classic two-door presents with a meticulous frame-off restoration that saw every nook and cranny polished and put to factory spec, and it shows. Indeed, this may very well be the finest 1975 Buick Regal in the country, and now, it’s up for sale.

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking this thing just rolled off the factory floor. The body panels are draped in deep, rich paint dubbed Walnut Mist, which comes with a lovely metallic glint and highly polished finish. It looks utterly pristine, and is complemented by optional bumper guards with new black rubber inserts.

The profile shows off with sport mirrors and 15-inch Buick chrome wheels, the latter of which are wrapped in whitewall tires. The white vinyl top is also spotless.

Moving inside, we find the same attention of detail throughout the cabin. The seats are covered in white upholstery, while light brown upholstery covers everything else. Amenities include air conditioning, power disc brakes, power steering, and an AM/FM radio.

Making the machine move is a 350 four-barrel V8 engine, which connects to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Even the engine bay looks factory pristine.

The whole shebang sports just 46,137 miles on the odometer, and is offered with plenty of documentation, including the original window sticker, glove box manual, sales brochures, pictures of the restoration, and the original order form.

Now, this 1975 Buick Regal Colonnade is now listed for sale by Volo Auto Sales in Illinois. Pricing is set at just $21,998.

  1. Love the car. There really is something about certain cars that makes me feel good. This is one of those. Although I like the dark brown, I’m not a fan of the white top and seats and then with the tan door panels, dash and floors. I think for me it would have looked much better with the matching tan top and seats to the rest of the inside. But hey, I’d still take this in a second!

  2. the only word for that is fantastic… wow… and this vehicle wasn’t the best of the Colonnades. GM built this then “downsized’ in the late 70’s then went FWD. The downsized vehicles sold well but the FWD coupes were garbage and killed the segment. I firmly believe there is a market for cars such as this now in the 21st century (no pun intended). People didn’t stop buying terrific cars like this one and its siblings, GM quit building cars people wanted.

    1. I agree. The “personal luxury coupe” was a huge market in the day and I feel it would still do well today. But make it rear wheel, with distinctive looks (like this car), with the high quality of cars today with the better MPG’s and bam! No reason they wouldn’t sell a combined 2-300,000 a year (meaning Buick, Chevrolet and even Cadillac along with Ford, Chrysler and Lincoln).

  3. my first car was a brand new 76 Regal, silver with silver landau top, burgundy interior. Most kids had Monte Carlos, Grand Prixs or Cutlass’s I wanted something different and we were a Buick family. thought at 17 it was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. This one is beautiful.

  4. Amazing what a beauty.
I currently own a 1977 Regal with only 58k miles and still runs great just the vinyl roof has suffered over the years. I keep it in garage but really want to sell it anyone is interested. Has the original owners manual rust free underbody.

  6. I had a ’75 exactly like this except the color was different. Mine was Indigo with white leather seats and those same 15″ wheels. Probably one of the best driving and riding cars I’ve ever owned.
