Weather The Rain In The Holden Colorado Storm Special Edition

General Motors Australia has released the new Holden Colorado Storm special edition model, with the brand looking to keep customers interested as the aging pickup soldiers on for another model year.

Holden says the Colorado Storm “provides added style and function for great value.” Setting it apart from a regular Colorado is the standard LED front light bar, which is joined by a matte black front brush guard. It also gets a black rear sport bar, roof rails, a front hood wind deflector, ‘Storm’ side decals and a soft-drop tailgate.

“We were excited about adding the LED light bar, which significantly improves visibility at night, particularly in outer-suburban and rural areas, where wildlife and other road hazards are more common,” said Holden marketing manager Andre Scott. “The LED light bar throws out a more intense beam of light than a standard high beam, providing real benefit.”

“The limited-edition Storm package showcases the tried-and-tested durability of our utes with added style, function and most importantly, value,” added Holden vehicle development engineer Jeremy Tassone.

Prices for the Colorado Storm will start at $53,990. Holden says this is only $2,000 more than a standard Colorado LTZ, the model on which the Colorado Storm is based, but it receives $4,800 worth of added content.

The Colorado Storm will help Holden in its push to get customers in the door before December 31st, 2019. The automaker recently announced it will would offer seven years of free scheduled servicing on certain models ordered before the New Year, which comes in addition to its standard five-year, unlimited kilometer warranty.

The standard engine in the Holden Colorado is a 2.8L XLD28 turbo-diesel Duramax engine, which produces 197 horsepower. Holden introduced a number of updates to the pickup for the 2020 model year, including a new LSX off-road trim level.

  1. GM is killing of what was once a great vehicle manufacturer, Holden. If it keeps up with current practices it will be gone and GM as well in Australia.
The Chevy brand has a great following in this country and they have missed a great opportunity to cash in on it. The Comaro should have been right hand drive and the Cadillac would have bedn a great replacement for the Commodore . Once gone, never to return, lose this generation and there is no comimg backra
