No Livestream For 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe Debut

As we covered previously, we’re just a few hours away from the debut of the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. Slated to drop cover in Detroit this evening, the next-gen SUVs will offer a host of improvements over the previous-generation vehicles. Unfortunately for those not physically at the event, Chevrolet will not be live streaming the big reveal.

The news undoubtedly comes as a disappointment for those Bow Tie brand fans looking to watch the unveiling of these two SUVs in real time via a livestream feed. That said, GM Authority will be on the scene covering the unveiling as it happens, so make sure to stay tuned for all the latest.

For those who may be unaware, GM is releasing an all-new 12th generation for the iconic Chevrolet Suburban, just ahead of its 85th anniversary celebration in 2020. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Tahoe will receive an all-new fifth generation ahead of its 25th anniversary next year.

Both models will feature all-new styling, plus new underpinnings as well. Both the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe will utilize new body-on-frame architecture, adopting GM’s all-new T1 platform over the previous models’ K2-based architecture. The new architecture will be complemented by a new independent rear suspension that will deliver improved handling and comfort over the older models’ solid rear axle.

Motivation is expected to come from Chevrolet’s naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8, which will mate to the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The naturally aspirated L87 V8 and 3.0L inline six-cylinder LM2 turbo-diesel Duramax could make the options list. Rounding it out will be fresh designs inside and out.

Stay tuned, because we’ll be covering the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe reveals as they happen. In the meantime, make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Chevrolet Suburban news, Chevrolet Tahoe news, Chevrolet news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  2. OMG !! Just saw the photos on-line. The front end looks terrible. I was expecting way better. The silver Z71 is straight up ugly.
