There’s a surplus of cool, custom muscle cars out there, but few have the clean style and intimidation factor of this 1970 Chevy Nova. The mean machine featured here is the work of Robert Zahabi, owner of Rides by KAM, based out of Queensland, Australia. Not only does this Nova look the part of a slammed street terror, but it’s got the engine to match, with a twin-supercharged 572 cubic-inch big block V8 up front throwing down 1,500 horsepower.
The Chevy Nova build started from the ground up, with Zahabi stripping it down to the shell and working up to the final vision you see here. Exterior styling highlights include a custom cowl hood, quarter vent window delete, molding delete, and extended sills.
The Chevy Nova was also tubbed to fit Billet Specialties Velocity wheels, sized at 22 inches in diameter and 10 inches in width in back and wrapped in Falken 305/25R22 tires. The front rollers measure in at 20 inches, and house enormous six-pot Brembo brakes.
We think this thing looks gorgeous. The aesthetic stays close to the factory lines, all while sporting just enough custom changes to let you know it’s truly something special.
The interior is gorgeous as well, and comes draped in burgundy leather punctuated by custom billet components and a Pioneer audio system.
Of course, one of the most important parts of this build is under the hood, where Zahabi mounted a Chevy 572 V8 paired to two symmetrical billet F2 ProCharger blowers. Complementing the big block are forged components, a Weiand intake manifold, Holly Dominator carburetor, MSD Power Grid ignition, and a four-inch exhaust, all of which combine to create 1,500 horses at the crank.
It’s a pretty bonkers build, and the black paint adds a sinister appeal that’s undeniable. Even the engine bay is finished in black on black.
The build took eight months to build, and first debuted in 2014. Check out this 1970 Chevy Nova in further detail in the 11-minute, 41-second video below.
As we can see, this Chevy Nova looks and sounds amazing, and it’s awesome to see Zahabi actually drives it from time to time. We can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.

@MAD
What does it matter to you what someone else nik names there car ???
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
The front grille and front spoiler with holes are awful, otherwise the best Nova around in my opinion!!!
Spectacular job on the engine, the interior, the rear end, undercarriage, chassis, suspension, and bodywork the mentioned (which I do not like) not pertaining. TBH I quite like the wheel setup also, and the stance is also totally cool.
If I had the money I would definitely get a 1970’s Nova with a lot of this car’s merits. The only things I would have really liked would have been if it had been customized by a US firm, but you gotta love the Australians, so no major issue there, though it would have been nice to have had a thread of continuity with these cars US heritage.
This is a work of Art. Rarely I see such perfection in detail. Not too much ,but you know when you pull up beside this beast,
it’s going to be a long long day. Well done Guys!!! Did you fabricate your front air dam or did you purchase it? If so what should i look for?
