Father And Son Crash Corvettes Racing In NYC’s Holland Tunnel: Video

A father/son duo were booked on multiple charges after allegedly causing an accident whilst racing their Corvettes in New York City’s Holland Tunnel.

Chadwick Quinones, 25, and his father, Fred Ordine, 44, are accused of causing the multi-vehicle crash whilst speeding in the tunnel’s north tube back in February. Quinones initially fled the scene, but later returned and admitted to his involvement, with police issuing him summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to exhibit registration and careless driving.

A photo circulating online that is believed to show the pair’s Corvettes

The investigation into the pair was later re-opened when footage of the crash surfaced online. Quinones posted the video of the accident to his own Instagram page before deleting it when detectives began questioning him about it, according to NJ.com. In the video, two Corvettes are seen speeding through the tunnel when one, which appears to be a yellow C6, has to slam on the brakes to avoid rear-ending a vehicle in front. That car then swerves to avoid the slower vehicle in front and clips the black Corvette the footage is being filmed from, causing it to spin and hit a blue SUV that was also driving in the tunnel.

Both Quinones and Ordine have now been booked on charges of first-degree reckless endangerment, engaging in an illegal speed contest, and reckless driving.

“We were messing around in the tunnel and I lost it, and hit him,” Quinones told authorities, according to court papers obtained by The New York Daily News.

“We feel bad about it,” Ordine is quoted as saying.

The pair’s lawyer, Igor Litvak, called Quinones and Ordine “law-abiding people,” when speaking to the New York Daily News and said they pleaded not guilty.

  1. I can only hope this pair has the book thrown at them. They do not need to be allowed to drive a vehicle for many years. I hope it totaled their Corvettes since they do not need to own such fast vehicles.
