Welcome back to Dealer Find, an ongoing GM Authority series where we scour the listings for hidden gems left on the dealer lot. Our latest Dealer Find is a brand-new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe Z51 3LT, a true performance superstar offering impressive speed and power, but for not much outlay.
With the Chevrolet Corvette C8 now grabbing the lion’s share of headlines, buyers looking to scoop up a deal on a new sports car would do well to remember the C7. After all, the C8 has yet to even hit production, but brand-new examples of the previous generation, like this one here, are going for substantially reduced prices.
What’s more, considering the Chevrolet Corvette C7 may be the last Vette with a front-mounted engine, it could become quite a collector’s item down the road.
Not that you’d want to keep this thing stored away as a future investment, though. No, this Vette was made to be driven, and comes equipped with the Z51 Performance Package and 3LT trim level. That means it is equipped with a long list of goodies, including a dry sump oil system, electronic limited-slip differential, big front brakes, a unique aero package, Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP summer-only tires, upgraded suspension, and a dual-mode exhaust.
Under its long, shark-like hood, this Chevrolet Corvette is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L LT1 V8 engine, which produces 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Output is sent rearwards thanks to the GM 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission.
The whole thing is covered in black paint, with the cabin matching in Jet Black.
MSRP for this two-door fun-maker is set at $76,965. However, you can find it at listed at Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland in Glenvar Heights, Florida, for just $56,965 – a full $20,000 off MSRP.

If you go by one of the Corvette Museum build presentations this was one of 31 in this combination. It is still sitting at the dealer in NJ.
If I was in Florida I would get another 5k off and bring her home…
Better than waiting on production date on a c8,
That cant keep up with this one…..
You can take this one home today….
Still not a good buy despite the very generous discount. For a lot less, I’d rather have a low-mileage ’17 that has actually been exercised and not neglected outside for two or three years. Better yet, why not spring for a nice used Z06 for the same or less money? This one will depreciate mega-bucks as soon as you pull off the lot! Makes no sense to buy a new 2017 unless you can get it for the price of a used ’17 – say $45,000. I feel for the sellers.
