Christmas Special: Santa’s Reindeer As GM Cars

Merry Christmas, GM Authority readers! That’s right, the big day has finally arrived, so in between tearing into those presents and sitting down to a nice holiday meal, we thought we’d add a splash of General Motors-themed good cheer to your feed. The goal of this post is clear – if Santa’s reindeer were GM cars, which cars would they be?

Rudolph – Cadillac EV Concept

Leading the pack is Rudolph, whose bright red nose helps to illuminate the way. Naturally, this makes us think of the unnamed Cadillac EV concept shown back in January, which, as we covered previously, might include a light-up Cadillac badge on the grille.

Dasher – Cadillac Escalade

When it comes to dashing through the snow in comfort and style, the Cadillac Escalade full-size SUV is a fantastic choice. The name is even more appropriate when considering the upcoming next-gen model will come with an all-new dash design featuring a new 38-inch curved display.

Dancer – Chevrolet Bolt EV

With its low carbon footprint, the lithe little Chevrolet Bolt EV has the right stuff to make it as Dancer, and with an extra 21 miles per charge for 2020 model-year vehicles, this all-electric has plenty of range to deliver presents to all those good boys and girls.

Prancer – Chevrolet Colorado ZR2

If prancing across the trails is more your speed, then the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is definitely the way to go, with features like Multimatic DSSV dampers, a two-inch suspension lift, and electronic locking differentials keeping it poised on even the roughest terrain.

Vixen – Cadillac CT6-V

This gorgeous four-door luxury rocket is definitely the Vixen of the GM cars portfolio. The Cadillac CT6-V is also a bit of a powerhouse, making upwards of 550 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque thanks to its twin-turbocharged 4.2L Blackwing V8 engine.

Comet – Chevrolet Silverado

The long tails and bright bodies of comets make us think of that iconic GM pickup – the Chevrolet Silverado. This is also the perfect vehicle to haul all that Christmas loot.

Cupid – Cadillac XT4

The cute, compact Cadillac XT4 crossover has loads of features and comfort packed in, providing all the right stuff to make owners fall in love.

Donner – Chevrolet Tahoe

Donner Pass can be found nestled in the rugged terrain of Northern California, just a few miles from the gorgeous Lake Tahoe basin. Seems like the Chevy Tahoe would be a good fit here, especially the next-gen 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe that debuted earlier this month.

Blitzen – Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Of all the GM cars out there, the track-ready Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 seems the most ready to blitZ the competition, all thanks to its supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 and complementary suspension and chassis upgrades.

Bonus: Santa’s Sleigh – 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Convertible

Of all the GM cars out there, what’s the big man riding this year? Why, it’s the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8, of course. Make it the convertible model – after all, Santa’s used to feeling all that air rushing through his beard.
