Chevrolet has recently spent quite some time targeting owners of the Ford Mustang with recent incentives, including a $3,000 Camaro rebate in October for Mustang owners. Interestingly, November’s 12-percent discount offer was available to all buyers, but for the month of December, the headlining Chevrolet discount is again restricted to current Ford Mustang owners and lessees.
It’s also worth pointing out that this month’s offer, which reduces select 2019 Camaro models by $5,495, is just as generous as the 12-percent discount offered last month, which was the second-biggest Chevrolet Camaro discount since the 15-percent rebate offered earlier this year.
Incentives
The nationwide Chevrolet Camaro discount offers in December 2019 are as follows:
- Retail offer: $2,995 employee discount + $500 customer cash + $2,000 Mustang competitive cash = $5,495 discount below MSRP
- Discount Price: $38,795
- Example offer based on Camaro SS Coupe with $44,290 MSRP
- Buyer must be a current Ford Mustang owner or lessee
- Not available with lease and some other offers
For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Camaro trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including a $995 destination freight charge:
- 1LS – $25,995
- 1LT – $26,495
- 2LT – $28,495
- 3LT – $31,995
- 1SSÂ – $37,595
- 2SS – $42,995
- 1SE (ZL1) – $62,995
Interested parties should note that the above offer appears to be available to all 2019 models. Additionally, the aforementioned offer will run through January 2nd, 2020.

About Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is a family of sports cars that includes a two-door coupe and two-door soft-top convertible as well as various performance variants such as SS, 1LE, ZL1 and ZL1 1LE. The legendary nameplate was first introduced in 1966 and went out of production in 2002, when the model was in its fourth generation. The Camaro was re-introduced in 2009 as an all-new fifth-generation model based on the GM Zeta platform.
The Camaro is currently Chevrolet's most affordable sports car, slotting below the Chevrolet Corvette. The current model was introduced for the 2016 model year and represents the sixth generation of the Camaro nameplate. The model rides on the GM Alpha platform shared with the Cadillac ATS and Cadillac CTS, though the majority of the architecture underpinning the Camaro are unique to it.
The 2018 Chevy Camaro represents the third model year of the sixth-gen Camaro that deleted the Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition and the Krypton Green exterior color, while adding the ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package. There's also an expanded availability of the SS 1LE Track Performance Package, which is now available on the 2SS Coupe, as well as the addition of a washer fluid level sensor.
A midcycle refresh arrives for the 2019 model year that introduces new, model-specific front and rear styling, a new trim level structure for LT models that adds a new 3LT trim, and a new 1LE track performance package for the 2.0L Turbo LTG engine. The 2019 Camaro also brings the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission for SS models, the Rear Camera Mirror, third-generation infotainment systems, and various other enhancements.
The gen six Chevy Camaro is assembled for all markets by GM USA at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan, USA.

DEAR GM: I understand wanting to target Mustang owners, but why not reward current Camaro owners as well or heck just make it open for everyone. Your third out of three in sales in a very small market, can you afford to be picky on what competitive or current Camaro owner buys a new Camaro? I have a 2015 ZL1 I want to trade on a ZLE, just make it easier for me to give you my money. Give us 15% off through Feb. on ’19 Camaros and make it available for everyone.
