Chevrolet Discount Cuts Bolt EV Price By $8,500 In December 2019

For the month of December 2019, a new Chevrolet discount reduces the price of select Bolt EV models by nearly $8,500. The rebate is quite a bit larger than recent offers, including the $5,500 discount in July. In addition to the aforementioned December discount, a second, separate offer includes cash plus interest-free financing.

Incentives

Nationwide Chevrolet discount offers on the 2019 Bolt EV for December 2019 are as follows:

For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Bolt EV trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $875 destination freight charge included:

  1. throw in a couple grand of tax incentives at the state level and the bolt is worth considering.

but this deep discount just means GM is hemorrhaging even more money on each bolt sold than before.

      1. If we count the number of Bolts registered in the US up to the end of Q3 this year it is 55,006 units or about 6.8% of all BEV’s on the road. The model 3 by contrast has 254,040 units registered in the US or about 31.44% of all BEV’s registered. Let’s not forget the Bolt came to market first and has been selling for longer.

If you add in the Model S and X vehicles then Tesla has a whole has 489,654 registered in the US which represents 60.6% of all registered BEV’s.

If 60% market share isn’t domination, please share the percentage they need to achieve to be deemed as dominators and we’ll check back when they get there.
