Cadillac Discount Cuts Price CT6 Sedan By $4,000 In December 2019

For the month of December 2019, a familiar Cadillac discount reduces the price of select 2019 CT6 models by as much as $4,000. While that cash offer is nearly identical the discount in February as well as in September and again in October, Cadillac is now offering interest-free financing rather the low-interest financing. Notably, all offers exclude V-Series models.

Incentives

The nationwide Cadillac discount offers for December 2019 are as follows:

  • Finance Offer: 0 percent APR for 36 months when financing with GM Financial (excludes CT6-V)
  • Loyalty Offer: $2,500 purchase allowance for current Cadillac owners or lessees with GM Financial
  • Lease Offer: $1,000 toward the lease of a new CT6 for current GM lessees with GM Financial
  • Purchase Offer: $4,000 total cash allowance for everyone (excludes CT6-V)

It’s worth noting that this month’s financing offer is for 36 months, which is half the duration of previous offers (72 months).

For reference, here are the 2019 CT6 trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $995 destination charge included:

  • Premium Luxury – $63,590
  • Sport – $67,590
  • Platinum – $87,790

Interested parties should note that only current Cadillac owners and lessees can receive the additional $2,500 Cadillac CT6 discount, while everyone else is offered the $4,000 cashback offer. Additionally, Cadillac explicitly states that the larger discount and special interest offer do not apply to the low-production V-Series model.

The $4,000 Cadillac CT6 discount lowers the starting price of a 2019 Premium Luxury model to a more modest $59,590, while the starting price of the Platinum model falls to $83,790.

About Cadillac CT6

The Cadillac CT6 is a full-size prestige luxury sedan. It slots above the mid-size Cadillac CTS and compact Cadillac ATS as the largest Cadillac sedan. The vehicle rides on the high-tech and lightweight GM Omega platform that is currently not shared with any other vehicles, though a full-size Cadillac crossover on the architecture has been rumored.

The current model was introduced for the 2016 model year and represents the first model year of the first-generation CT6. The 2017 model year saw a few minor changes, including the addition of two new exterior colors and darker finish taillamps. The 2018 CT6 introduced such features as Super Cruise, Rear Camera Mirror Washer for the Rear Camera Mirror, as well as an updated CUE infotainment system (to version 2.6).

For the 2019 model year, the CT6 receives a refresh, otherwise known as a facelift or mid-cycle enhancement (MCE, that includes revised exterior styling similar to that of the Escala concept, a new high-performance CT6 V-Sport model that was renamed to CT6-V, the new Cadillac 4.2L Twin-Turbo V-8 engine, a new trim level structure, and improvements to in-vehicle technology. In addition, the 2019 Cadillac CT6 gets the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission on all models, while the base model gets a new base engine in the form of the all-new 2.0L Turbo LSY engine, which replaces the last-generation 2.0L Turbo LTG.

The Cadillac CT6 is build at the following plants:

In addition, the CT6 Plug-In model was built at the SGM Jinqiao plant for all markets, including the United States. The CT6 Plug-In was discontinued in the U.S. after the 2018 model year.

In November 2018, GM announced plans to discontinue the CT6 in North America as part of a restructuring plan that will look to shutter various plants, including the Detroit-Hamtramck location. But in January 2019, Cadillac president, Steve Carlisle, and GM president, Mark Reuss, announced that the CT6 will not be discontinued. However, production will be moved from the Detroit-Hamtramck facility to another plant. Another possibility is that the CT6 will be imported from China, where it will continue being offered. However, Carlisle stated that this is the least desirable option.

    1. You, got it! Fun stuff.

Hey “Bad-a-lac ( I’m not sure if that was a pun-twist on , Cadillac, or, a true spin on describing, MS Mary?)

Here’s a, once in a lifetime deal, Mary.

Give me a free CT-6-V Blackwing, and I will YouTube that bitc7$)(; til the sun goes down.

You just might sell more here, than in the, land of the rising $ons only.

Get a clue. Promote your expensive and great efforts, and… promote it.?
Advertise it. Stand behind it. Believe in it. It wouldn’t be here if someone didn’t at one point, believe in it. Someone green-lighted the cash allocated to make this new, expensive, and leading edge tech.

      Was it you, Mary?

If so, why only make and sell it China?
Then, kill it off here in its Homeland?

I’m being redundant: sorry. GM is Bipolar. Yes today. No, tomorrow??

  3. Hey Zcat,

Land of the Rising Sun refers to Japan, not China. However legend has it that the Chinese assigned that phrase to them. It seems that from their (China’s) vantage point, the morning sunrise occurs over Japan.

    1. Yes.I know. My twist was written to be sarcasm. That’s why I spelled it, rising $ons. Where the current money/ pot of gold (lies)! Not my best attempt.

But, who cares? Tomorrow is another day. I might do better as time and experience prop up my chances of enlightenment. One can only hope.:)

  4. I thought Japan calls themselves that literally. Maybe the Chinese legend is for Korea or the Manchus.

I’m rooting for Omega’s expansion and not death in the US. It’s a brand builder.
