2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Sonic, And Bolt EV All Offer This New Paint Color

General Motors is adding a little extra heat to the paint offerings for three Chevrolet models. The 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV, 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, and 2020 Chevrolet Sonic will all offer Cayenne Orange Metallic paint, and we’re really liking how it looks.

Offered for an extra $395, this premium paint upgrade adds a nice splash of color to the body panels of these three vehicles. Availability varies depending on the model in question. To note, Cayenne Orange Metallic paint is tagged with the color code GLL on the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV, 2020 Chevrolet Equinox and 2020 Chevrolet Sonic. The touch-up paint code is WA-324E for all three models as well.

We recently had a chance to check out the new color draped against the body panels of the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV in a recent media drive event, and depending on the angle of the light, we noticed that the paint’s metallic finish gave off either an orange hue, or a burnt red hue. We were also loving how it looked good against the Bolt’s black and chrome accent bits.

With regard to the Bolt EV, Cayenne Orange Metallic paint is offered in conjunction with three separate interior color combinations:

• Dark Galvanized / Sky Cool Gray
• Dark Galvanized Gray
• Light Ash Gray / Ceramic White

Meanwhile, the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox offers Cayenne Orange Metallic paint as one of just two exterior paint options with a bright finish, the other of which is Cajun Red Metallic. Chevrolet Equinox buyers can get the Orange paint in conjunction with each interior color combination, as well as all trim levels with the exception of the base-level L.

As for the 2020 Chevrolet Sonic, Cayenne Orange Metallic paint is offered on all trim levels, but only with the hatchback body style, and only matched to the Jet Black interior.
