The truck features a trailer that is made from the bed section of a GMC Sierra AT4, which is outfitted with a tent that neatly fits into the bed/trailer combo. A GMC Auxiliary Accessory Trailer Camera is also fitted to the custom trailer, providing a live camera feed to the cabin when reversing and parking. Other accessories on the truck include a Kicker audio system and off-road Sport Bar. An on-board fridge, sink and cooker also expand on the camping theme.
The GMC Sierra AT4 concept is wrapped with a special graphics package as well, which features a map of the Middle East and pays “homage to the truck’s only export location outside of North America.”
“Building on our tradition of bringing some of the best concepts to the Dubai International Motor Show, we wanted to make another bold statement with the Sierra – a vehicle that already stands out from the crowd,” said chief marketing officer for GM Middle East, Kelly MacDonald. “We wanted to go bold, and we did just that, highlighting not only the number of GMC accessories our customers have the ability to put on their Sierra, but the level of unique customizations they can do to the vehicles.”
GMC is showcasing a wide range of vehicles at the 2019 Dubai Motor Show this week, including the Sierra AT4 Regular Cab – which is exclusive to the Middle East. GMC has a long-standing history in the Middle East, having first entered the market 92 years ago with 4×4 and 6×6 trucks designed specifically for desert use. Additionally, Kuwait’s only GMC dealer, the Mohammed Saleh and Reza Yousef Behbehani Company, is the world’s largest standalone GMC dealer in sales volume. For these reasons, the Dubai Motor Show is a very important outing for the brand.
“We have enjoyed a long GMC legacy in this market, first entering it over 92 years ago with vehicles designed specifically for desert driving. This is why we are very excited to showcase some of our most popular GMC products to truck and automotive fans at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show,” said GMC Middle East brand boss, Danielle D’Souza.
The 2019 Dubai Motor Show kicked off Tuesday, November 12th and will stay open until Saturday, November 16th.
