GMC Discount Cuts Acadia Price By 16 Percent In November 2019

In what is most likely an effort to maintain appeal in a highly competitive segment, a GMC Acadia discount takes 16 percent off select 2019 models of the premium crossover SUV during the month of November 2019, which can equate to over $8,000 in some cases. A nearly identical GMC discount has been offered for the past several months, including the discount offer in July. It’s worth clarifying that this month’s GMC discount offer is exclusive to non-GM owners.

Incentives

Nationwide GMC Acadia discount offers for November 2019 are as follows:

  • Retail offer: 16 percent below MSRP on most models
  • Finance offer: $500 cash + 0-percent APR for 60 months when financing with GM Financial
    • Excludes base SL trim level

As we mentioned, this month’s 16-percent GMC discount offer is exclusive to current non-GM owners and lessees, which contrasts last month’s offer as it was only offered to current GM owners and lessees.

GMC provides the following example of the discount when applied to a 2019 Acadia Denali AWD:

  • $2,284 price reduction + $6,044 purchase allowance = $8,328 below MSRP on select models for current GM owners who finance with GM Financial.

As stated, the $8,328 GMC Acadia discount is only available for current GM owners and lessees, which shouldn’t be welcome news for disgruntled loyal owners, especially since a similar discount was previously exclusive to Current Competitive Owners. When the GMC Acadia discount is applied to a specific 2019 Acadia Denali AWD with an MSRP of $52,050, the starting price falls to $43,722. Discounts on other models will vary.

For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Acadia trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,195 destination freight charge included:

  • SLE-1 – $33,995
  • SLE-2 – $36,395
  • SLT-1 – $39,195
  • SLT-2 – $43,095
  • Denali – $46,695

Note that the discount does not apply to the 2020 GMC Acadia, which was recently refreshed.

2017 GMC Acadia

About GMC Acadia

The GMC Acadia is a mid-size crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It is the largest GMC crossover currently offered, slotting above the compact GMC Terrain.

The current model was introduced for the 2017 model year and represents the second generation of the Acadia nameplate. It rides on the GM C1 platform shared with the Cadillac XT5. It is expected that the upcoming, future Chevrolet Blazer will ride on the same platform. Meanwhile, the second-generation Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave use a longer-wheelbase variant of the same architecture.

Compared to its first-generation predecessor, the second-gen Acadia is an all-new vehicle that is one size segment smaller, while also being sleeker, more modern, more tech-laden and much lighter. Despite its smaller size, the second-gen Acadia manages to retain three rows of seating and generous cargo space.

For the 2018 model year, the Acadia got a new color, automatic heated steering wheel in place of the manual heated steering wheel, Tire Fill Alert, some new wheels on the SLT-1 All Terrain model, as well as broader availability of the 3.6L V-6 engine and All-Terrain package.

For the 2019 model year, the Acadia receives several new colors, Express Up and Down window controls for the driver's-side controls as standard on the SLE-2 and SLT-1 trims, the expanded availability of the Ebony interior color with the All-Terrain package on the SLT trim level and the introduction of the Acadia Black Edition.

The GMC Acadia is built exclusively at the GM Spring Hill factory in Tennessee operated by GM USA.

  1. Makes no sense.

“As stated, the $8,328 GMC Acadia discount is only available for current GM owners and lessees, which shouldn’t be welcome news for disgruntled loyal owners, especially since a similar discount was previously exclusive to Current Competitive Owners”

Assume this should read “NON-GM owners..”

  2. GM offers deals to GM owners and other times they offer them to non GM owners.

Then people who don’t pay attention go on forums and complain that one or the other did not get the offer.

  3. This is the right time to buy NOW if you’re looking for the best Acadia reliability. It switches to a new, but unpredictable and less-reliable 9-speed auto transmission for 2020 model year.

    1. Well the 9 speed is not new as it has been out for a while and it has proven reliable.

But between now and Jan they will be at the best pricing
