Chevrolet Offers $9,000 Corvette Discount In November 2019

Chevrolet Corvette sales totaled 4,766 units during the third quarter of 2019, representing an increase of 2.74 percent in sales volume over Q3 2018. While the increase itself is not substantial, it does end the decline in deliveries of the Corvette C7, which hasn’t received any major updates since its launch for the 2014 model year. Plus, the recent announcement and upcoming launch of the all-new mid-engine Corvette C8 even had some customers canceling their orders.

Due to this chain of events, Chevy has been attempting to find ways to incentivize current Corvette owners to get behind the wheel of a new Corvette C7 rather than waiting for the C8. As such, that it is offering a lofty loyalty discount on brand-new 2019 Corvettes in November 2019. In recent months, Corvette discount offers topped out at $3,000, but this one can equate to over $9,000 off select models.

The Incentives

Nationwide Corvette discounts and offers on 2019 models for November 2019 are as follows:

  • Loyalty discount: $3,000 discount for current Corvette owners + $6,404 price reduction below MSRP
    • Price reduction amount is model-dependent.
    • Must be a current owner or lessee of a Chevrolet Corvette for at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale and purchase a new Corvette.

Shoppers should note that the $3,000 Corvette discount is only available to current owners of Corvettes, and for the month of November, it seems that ownership of any Corvette model qualifies, as opposed to 2005 or newer models which were required in previous offers. The incentive is rather significant, as this is one of the largest discounts ever offered for the nameplate during its lifecycle.

Additionally, the incentive is listed under the Stingray model on Chevy’s website, but is not listed under the Grand Sport, Z06, or ZR1 models. There isn’t a clause restricting the incentive to Stingray models, and the example offer provided by Chevy is for a Z06 model. We previously reached out to various sources at Chevrolet dealers and they have confirmed that the $3,000 Corvette discount applies to any 2019 Corvette, including the Stingray, Stingray Z51, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1. As such, it is safe to say that this current incentive applies to all models as well.

For reference, here are 2019 Corvette trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,095 destination freight charge included:

  • Stingray 1LT – $56,995
  • Stingray 2LT – $61,450
  • Stingray 1LT w/ Z51 – $61,995
  • Stingray 2LT w/ Z51 – $66,450
  • Stingray 3LT – $66,740
  • Stingray 3LT w/ Z51 – $71,740
  • Grand Sport 1LT – $66,995
  • Grand Sport 2LT – $71,450
  • Grand Sport 3LT – $76,740
  • Z06 1LZ – $81,995
  • Z06 2LZ – $85,560
  • Z06 3LZ – $90,940
  • ZR1 1ZR – $121,995
  • ZR1 3ZR – $131,995

When applied to a 2019 Z06 model with an MSRP of $95,020, the $9,404 rebate lowers the starting price to $85,616.

The lofty Corvette discount is a rare occurrence, as Chevrolet seldom offers cash-based discounts on the sports car. It’s rather obvious that the purpose of the offer is to get current Corvette owners who are on the fence about buying a C7, or waiting for the upcoming 2020 Corvette, to go for the C7. The all-new, mid-engine Corvette (aka the Corvette C8) was revealed on July 18th, and is expected to go on sale in early 2020.

Chevrolet is working on a next-, eighth-generation Corvette. The model is expected to be mid-, rear-engined, allowing it to push the performance envelope even further that the C7. See more on the rumored mid-engine Corvette. Though it was previously believed that the C7 generation will be discontinued when the mid-engined model is introduced, we now have reason to believe that the model will continue being offered alongside the mid-engined model.
