Chevrolet Traverse Discounts Cut Price By Over $4,000 In October 2019

Chevrolet Traverse sales increased 25 percent to 41,116 units in the third quarter of 2019. Even with the positive sales performance, Chevy is continuing to incentivize the full-size crossover SUV in the fourth quarter. In what is likely an effort to maintain price competitiveness in the highly-competitive segment, a new Chevrolet Traverse discount takes over $4,000 off select Premier models in October 2019. It’s worth noting that this discount is less attractive than the Chevrolet Traverse discount offered in August.
Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet Traverse discount offers during the month of October 2019 are as follows:
- 2019 Traverse Premier: $4,020 below MSRP
- This discount will run thru October 31st
- 2019 Traverse (excluding base models): $2,000 customer cash
- This discount will run thru October 31st
- Excludes base models
- 2019 Traverse (excluding base models): $1,500 customer cash
- This discount will run thru October 31st
- Excludes base models
Chevy provides the following example of the $4,020 discount on a Traverse Premier with an MSRP of $49,595
- $2,020 price reduction below MSRP + $2,000 cash allowance = $4,020 total cash discount
As such, the discount reduces the price of the specific Traverse Premier crossover SUV to $45,575.
As we mentioned, all of the above Chevrolet discount offers run thru October 31st.
For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Traverse trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:
- L – $31,125 (not applicable to the aforementioned incentives)
- LS – $34,095
- LT – $36,595
- RS – $44,295
- Premier – $46,695
- High Country – $54,395

About Chevrolet Traverse
The Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It is the biggest Chevrolet crossover currently offered, slotting above the subcompact Chevrolet Trax and compact Chevrolet Equinox. It will also slot above the much-rumored, future Chevrolet Blazer.
The current model was introduced for the 2018 model year and represents the second generation of the Traverse nameplate. It rides on the extended-length GM C1 platform shared with the second-generation Buick Enclave. A shorter variant of the same platform underpins the second-gen GMC Acadia, first-gen Cadillac XT5 and all-new 2019 Chevy Blazer.
Compared to its first-generation predecessor, the second-gen Traverse is an all-new vehicle that is larger, lighter, sleeker and more modern. It also introduces new trim levels, including High Country and RS - neither of which were present on the first-generation model.
The Chevrolet Traverse is built at the GM Delta Lansing Township factory in Michigan operated by GM USA. It is currently the only plant that builds the Traverse in any part of the world.
