2021 Silverado SS 1LE Rendered

Last week, we posted an exclusive rendering depicting our vision of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado SS, complete with all the usual Super Sport bits and pieces. Now, we’re taking things a step further with the Silverado SS 1LE!
While Chevrolet previously offered a Silverado SS model variant in the early 2000s, a hot-to-trot 1LE variant was never part of the lineup. With that in mind, we’re going off the rails a bit and pumping even more performance into the popular light-duty pickup, elevating it beyond the SS and up to 1LE status, similar to the model cadence offered by the Chevrolet Camaro.
As we pointed out in our previous rendering post, there’s currently no evidence that General Motors plans to build a high-powered Silverado SS model variant, 1LE or otherwise. This rendering is just for fun, and hopefully, it provides a little inspiration for all those performance pickup fans out there.
With that covered, let’s dive into the rendering, which is based on the latest 2020 Chevrolet Silverado in a Regular Cab, Long Bed body style. The fourth-generation styling includes new headlamp housings and restyled front fascia, while our Silverado SS 1LE rendering adds a satin black hood with an extra front-facing induction slot.
The look is definitely menacing, stretching the black finish in the lower fascia and grille section up and back to the windshield. We also added new intake sections in the lower bumper, plus a red tow hook. The Silverado badging in the front fenders is gone, replaced with SS badging on the doors.
The profile shows off ultra-wide, low-weight wheels, which are wrapped in sticky Goodyear tires and house enormous four-pot Brembo brakes. We also added a side exhaust system just ahead of the rear wheels.
In back, we find tail lamps with grey graphics, and a black/clear center high-mount stop lamp as well. Further SS badging was added to the tailgate, below which is an additional tow hook. Don’t forget the prominent rear spoiler, too.
While just a rendering at this point, we would love to see Chevy offer a Silverado SS 1LE stuffed with performance goodies. Do you agree? Let us know by posting in the comments, and make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Chevrolet Silverado news, Chevrolet news and 24/7 GM news coverage.

Duncan, you are spot- on!
Wait til they make it available in Middle East ONLY!!!!
I THINK this is a great idea Chevrolet should build this truck
and also Chevrolet should offer the regular cab short bed
don’t let ford and dodge dominate the high performance
truck seen love my chevys and would love to have one of
these trucks in my drive way
Would love to see this truck come to be…trying to keep up with other brands in fuel economy, but losing the performance battle sucks which is what I grew up around… don’t give in gm bringing back the short box In a ss form would be a perfect 1st step
Its a no brainer, the General needs something to combat the Raptor. Ram is cutting into the generals truck sales, more truck variations are a must! What are we waiting for? GM needs to be more nibble in responding to the competition. Avalanche is a must, SS and 1LE. GetRDone General!
Does anyone know if Chevy is bringing back the silverado ss for sure.and when
Build it and people will buy it !
I agree!!! Bring back the SS Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Or at least bring back the short bed in a single cab!
Dear GM,
REGULAR CAB SHORT BOX PLEASE !! ..(with full trim and Z71 4×4 options available) !
Lets take back GM’s dominance in the domestic pick up truck sales race.
Give us our trucks back !
The problem I see is GM has only been taking safe bets with their vehicles(excluding the new vette). There hasn’t been a performance truck in years.. I would definitely buy a Silverado SS with a LSA engine in it.
yes build it! or at lease build a short bed red cab so i can build it! THE MAYSVILLE FLASH
The rendering is GREAT, build it, I for one would buy it. Now own a 2003 Silverado SS. Great truck.
Too bulky looking for a performance truck. Doesn’t look racy enough for what it will cost$$$$$$….
this my second post
i want to replace my 2015 silverado single cab short bed Z71 with a 2021 but GM only makes it in Saudi Arabia,Mexico and Canada. Is it possible to get on in the US? Who can we talk to make this happen ?
My 2016 Reg Cab SB Z71 5.3 will get a 6.2 when I find the time. GM isn’t listening so I will make my own with a T56.
Maybe have a reg cab, 5’8” box 🙂 With a 6.2 6speed manual. Thanks
I would love to see something like this. Being a long time chevy truck owner, it has been strange for me to end up in a 04 SRT-10 viper truck. But single cab and overall hanging by your seat driving experience has done, just that. I have seen a 2020 Shelby single cab and it was amazing, which only wants me to see something with a bow tie to bring that excitement of driving back. I am not ready to let the robots have all of the fun on the road just yet.
