2020 Corvette Convertible Configurator Is Already Online

Anyone looking to spec the new 2020 Corvette Convertible to taste won’t have to wait, as the online configurator is already live following the droptop’s debut in Florida.

Like the previous Corvette C8 Coupe configurator, the 2020 Corvette Convertible configurator allows users to browse a variety of options and extras, then apply them to a digital rendering to see how they look.

We spoke with a GM representative at the reveal event for the new 2020 Corvette Convertible, who informed us that the configurator should also include pricing information. However, during our time with it, we didn’t see any pricing info included. That could very well change in the next few days if Chevy adds additional features to the tool later on.

Regardless, for those looking to get one of these machines in their garage, the tool is essential in determining which options to check.

Anyone who’s worked with the configurator for the coupe will be familiar with working it for the 2020 Corvette Convertible. There is now a new “Body Style” tab, but the other six tabs carry over from the previous version of the configurator, and include:

  • Exterior colors
  • Performance wheels
  • Exterior accents
  • Trim levels
  • Interior colors
  • Seats

Clicking each of these tabs opens up a wide variety of customization options, including colors, materials, designs, accents, exterior stripes, performance upgrades, and a whole lot more.

Options unique to the 2020 Corvette Convertible include three choices for the convertible roof color, with buyers offered either a body-color finish, Carbon Flash for the rear nacelles behind the headrests, or full Carbon Flash for the nacelles, roof, and A-pillars.

For reference, the 2020 Corvette Convertible is equipped with the same naturally aspirated 6.2L LT2 V8 engine as the coupe, doling out as much as 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the optional performance exhaust system offered with the Z51 Performance Package. Power is routed to the rear wheels by way of the new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The configurator is available here.
