The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE is the perfect car for those who don’t want to compromise road course performance nor drag strip speed. With race car-rivaling levels of downforce and also a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8, the most-expensive Camaro currently on offer is equally at home down the straights as it is through the corners.
If by chance the 650-horsepower LT4 V8 is a bit too tame for your tastes, then Hennessey Performance Engineering will gladly up the ante for you. The company offers several tuning packages for the Camaro ZL1 and recently highlighted its 850-horsepower package in a video showing it installed on a Crush Orange 2020 Camaro ZL1 1LE.
While not informative in any way, this video is certainly pleasing to the eyes and ears. With no voiceover, no music and no reviewer or salesperson to ruin the experience, this video is perfect for the Chevrolet fan who just wants to see and hear a Camaro go fast.
According to HPE’s website, the 850-horsepower upgrade package for the LT4 V8 includes a Hennessey lower pulley upgrade, high-flow cylinder heads, upgraded valve springs, different exhaust valves, upgraded lifters, different pushrods, a high-flow air induction system, long tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, a Hennessey camshaft and different gaskets and fluids. HPE engine management calibration is also required, though it uses the same ECU as the stock car.
On the dyno, these upgrades boost the engine to 736 horsepower and 706 pound-feet of torque. The company says that on a non-1LE ZL1, they will result in a quarter-mile time of 10.4 seconds at 135 mph and a top speed of 210 mph for 10-speed automatic cars, but seeing as the front splitter, canards and rear wing on the 1LE package add drag, we imagine the car in this video would be a tad bit slower than that. This car is also equipped with a six-speed manual.

DOA and along with any sports car that has a price of $50K or more because everyone will order up a C8 Corvette Z51; they may need a third shift at the Corvette factory to keep up with demand which potentially will not fade because who will pay $75-150K Euro-ride that is slower.
Just in time for Halloween, needs some teeth though! ?
