Chevrolet Silverado sales are expected to improve during the third quarter of 2019 as more body styles and powertrain variants become available at the retail level. And now, in conjunction with Truck Month, the Bow Tie brand has rolled out eight total Chevrolet Silverado discounts for October 2019.
One new Chevrolet Silverado offer gives buyers the option to forego any monthly payments for the first 90 days of the loan term. Another separate offer includes a nearly $10,000 rebate on select 2019 Silverado 1500 models, which is more or less equal to the 20 percent discounts offered during July and August.
The Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet Silverado offers for the all-new pickup truck on the T1 platform during October 2019 are as follows:
- 2019 Silverado Double Cab LT with All Star and Z71 packages:
- $9,510 price reduction below MSRP or
- No monthly payments for 90 days when financing with GM Financial
- Not available in some states unless combined with a 0.00% APR.
- Finance charges accrue from date of financing
- 2019 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab/Regular Cab: $1,500 customer cash + $1,250 purchase bonus cash = $2,750 total cash allowance
- 2019 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab: $2,500 customer cash
- 2019 Silverado 1500 Regular Cab: 0 percent APR for 48 months when financing with GM Financial

- $1,829 due at signing for Current GM Lessees

GM provides the following example for the largest Chevrolet offer of $9,510 as it applies to a 2019 Silverado 1500 LT All Star Z71 model with an MSRP of $52,175:
- $5,500 total cash allowance + $3,010 price reduction below MSRP + $1,000 option package discount = $9,510 total discount
This Chevrolet Silverado offer lowers the price of said model to a much more palatable $41,665.
For reference, here are the 2019 Silverado 1500 trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:
- Work Truck – $35,995
- Custom – $37,795
- Custom Trail Boss – $41,795
- LT – $40,695
- LT Trail Boss – $49,795
- RST – $45,995
- LTZ – $43,000
- High Country – $54,495
The delayed payment and cashback offers only apply to a single Silverado body style (Crew Cab) and a single trim level (LT) equipped with two standalone packages (All Star and Z71). That’s a notably conservative offer, as rivals such as FCA’s Ram and Ford are offering discounts almost across their entire full-size, light-duty truck range.
For reference, here’s a comprehensive list of all the Chevrolet offers for the T1 2019 Silverado so far this year, with the offers typically being limited to specific models/trims:
- January 2019 (introduced mid-month): $6,505 off

About Chevrolet Silverado
The Chevrolet Silverado is a lineup of full-size pickup trucks sold primarily in North America, but also in the Middle East and in certain markets in South America. Slotting above the mid-size Chevrolet Colorado (known as the S10 in some markets), the Silverado is Chevrolet's largest pickup truck and currently consists of the 1500 light duty model, two Heavy Duty models - the 2500HD and 3500HD, as well as Conventional Class 4, Class 5 and Class 6 Medium Duty models - the Silverado 4500HD and Silverado 5500HD and Silverado 6500HD.
The 2018 Chevy Silverado represents the fifth model year of the third-generation Silverado. It is based on the GM K2 platform shared with other full-size pickup trucks and SUVs from GM. Though the line sold relatively well, it became less competitive in the marketplace with time when compared to its primary Ford F-Series rival, due to lacking cutting-edge features such as turbocharged engines, a rugged off-road variant such as the Ford F-150 Raptor, a diesel engine option in the light duty (1500) model, and also various modern features and equipment.

Luckily, an all-new Silverado arrived for the 2019 model year that addresses many of the issues of its predecessor model. Customers began taking delivery of the all-new truck in the second half of August 2018.
Chevrolet says that the all-new 2019 Silverado is the result of over 7,000 customer interviews - the most intensive research in its history. The new model uses higher grade alloy steel in the bed floor as well as various mixed materials that result in a reduction in weight and improved performance, with weight falling about 450 pounds. The truck also offers an expanded amount of models for a total of eight, including the new 2019 Silverado Trailboss.
Riding on GM's new T1 platform shared with other future GM full-size trucks and SUVs, the 2019 Silverado offers more technology, convenience features, and engine/transmission combinations. While details of five powertrain combos have already been revealed, GM has not yet shared details of the new inline-six 3.0L Duramax Diesel engine, only stating that it will be "best-performing" and that it will be mated to GM's new 10-speed transmission.
Notably, the outgoing, Chevy will continue manufacturing and selling the outgoing, K2 generation Silverado alongside the all-new model for a limited amount of time in limited configurations.
Having overhauled the Silverado 1500, Chevy will next overhaul the Silverado Heavy Duty. The brand released a teaser image of the upcoming all-new 2020 Silverado HD in April 2018 and announced the vehicle in November 2018. The truck will launch in the 2019 calendar year as a 2020 model.
The 2020 Silverado HD will be comprised of the Silverado 2500HD and Silverado 3500HD that ride on a more robust and capable version of the new T1 platform when compared to the 2019 Silverado 1500, while sharing many high-tech features and design elements with its light duty brother.
Completing the overhauled Silverado family is the 2019 Silverado Medium Duty series, comprised of the Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD.
The Chevrolet Silverado is built at the following GM plants:
- GM Flint Assembly in Flint, Michigan, USA
- GM Fort Wayne Assembly in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
- GM Oshawa Assembly  in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
- GM Silao in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico
- Navistar Springfield Assembly in Springfield, Ohio, USA (Silverado Medium Duty only)

With no RCSB available, couldn’t care less.?
They build what people will buy, and you’re in the minority on your preference.
You can still get an F150 or Ram Classic in RCSB though. For now.
GM you have the MSRP’s way to high to begin with and there will be better sales once the 2020’s start filling up the lots.
All of the new cars are overpriced, gm, Ford Toyota, ram and even Tesla, though Tesla is so inefficient production wise that they need every penny to keep running. It’s just like college tuition prices. They jack up the price, offer a huge discount and say, look at how much you are saving! Hopefully that changes. used car sales are biting big into car makers sales. Hopefully car makers get wise, and lower the prices.
Obviously, Chevrolet is wanting to unload the slow models and they couldn’t make it anymore confusing. Why not just state a percentage off the MSRP for all trim levels for everyone. But then the dealers add their fluff for another $1k before you get thrown into the shark tank where the financial guys work from.
Great time to get a truck. You can probably find a 2.7L double cab LT allstar for 35k. Ya don’t HAVE to spend 50k+ on a truck, ya know…
I can see why the UAW is striking!!! What average worker for GM a can afford a vehicle like this that THEY are building??!! It’s disgusting how the workers stood by GM during a very financially bleak time-taking paycuts even!!! And how do you repay your LOYAL employees??? Well, to be honest GM-YOU HAVENT! You just stuck it to the average man (and woman) while the board enjoys a seven figure salary with perks!
Disgraceful ?
The people who assemble Bentleys can’t afford them either, and it has nothing to do with them not being unionized. It has everything to do with the market Bentley is in.
Same thinking applies for the trucks.
The worker is there to perform labour and to be paid for that labour. They are not entitled to own the product they produce, especially if they themselves are not within the demographic that the product is intended to be marketed towards. If a car retails for $200K, there is nothing that says the worker must earn a wage equivalent to that retail price so that they may be able to purchase it.
Recently a family member was trying to sell their parents’ house. The parents were in their 90s and had moved into assisted living. It’d been years since they were really able to properly care for the yard so it looked pretty bad. The house was solid and otherwise in good shape but it didn’t have curb appeal at all. The grass was mostly dead and all the shrubs were overgrown. It had that ‘abandoned house’ look. I said to the family member that they needed to get a crew to come out and work on the yard. Oh, we can’t afford that he said to me. I replied that you really can’t afford not to do that; you won’t get anything for the house with it looking like this. He didn’t listen. The house sat on the market for nearly a year with little interest and numerous price cuts before finally selling for about 40 percent of the original price which was about what it should have been worth.
The moral of the story is this: You can either make a product appealing, whether it be a house or a Silverado truck, or be prepared to sell it at a loss. The cousins could’ve paid a landscaper a few thousand dollars and made that up in the sale price of the house. Likewise, GM could’ve put $750. more into the Silverado interior and not needed a $10,000. price cut to sell them. This was their choice. They did it to themselves.
