New Buick Discount Cuts Enclave Price By 13 Percent In September 2019

Buick Enclave sales increased 21 percent to 15,159 units in the second quarter of 2019 – highly positive results that underline the ongoing shift in consumer buying dynamics from sedans towards utility vehicles such as crossovers, SUV and trucks. Now, a new Buick discount is taking as much as 13 percent off the Enclave in September 2019.

Incentives

The nationwide Buick discount on the 2019 Enclave is a 13 percent reduction in MSRP. It’s worth highlighting that this offer is a bit less lucrative than the 18 percent discount in May. However, unlike that incentive, this month’s offer is only available to current eligible non-GM owners. This means a customer must own a 2005 or newer non-GM vehicle in order to qualify. Loyal GM owners have found such discounts to be problematic in the past.

This deal is applicable to all 2019 Buick Enclave models except for base (1SV) models. For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Buick Enclave MSRPs by trim level:

  • Essence FWD (1SL) – $45,295
  • Premium FWD (1SN) – $49,095
  • Avenir FWD (1SP) – $54,495
  • Essence AWD (1SL) – $47,295
  • Premium AWD (1SN) – $51,391
  • Avenir AWD (1SP) – $56,795

As such, this Buick discount brings the price of a range-topping 2019 Enclave Avenir model with an MSRP of $58,990 down to $51,321 via the following incentive structure:

  • $2,538 price reduction below MSRP + $5,131 purchase allowance = $7,669 total discount

About Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is a premium full-size crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It is the biggest Buick crossover currently offered, slotting above the subcompact Buick Encore and compact Buick Envision.

The first generation Enclave was introduced for the 2009 model year to replace the Buick Rendezvous. It rode on the GM Lambda platform and was discontinued in 2017. The current, second-generation model was introduced for the 2018 model year. It rides on the extended-length GM C1 platform shared with the second-generation Chevrolet Traverse. A shorter variant of the same platform underpins the second-gen GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5.

  1. I’m assuming there are a lot of 2019 inventory on dealer lots? Why incentivize products that are selling like hot cakes?

GM needs to build “gotta have” vehicles that lead and punch every category. Vehicles are getting extremely expensive and folks are looking for value for their money.
