Last November, GM Authority exclusively reported that General Motors is working on a production version of the Buick Enspire Concept under the E2UB project code. This future Buick crossover, based on the GM E2 platform, commenced road testing in April and we recently brought you the first spy photos of its interior. And now, we once again are first to bring you specifications of the new CUV.
The all-new Buick Enspire will measure in at 182.3 inches in length, 74.1 inches in width, and 63.9 inches in height. The wheelbase is 109.4 inches long – identical to its corporate platform mate – the Cadillac XT4.
These dimensions tell us that the upcoming Buick Enspire will be slightly shorter, wider and squatter than the first generation Buick Envision – which currently serves as Buick’s global compact crossover SUV. Despite similar dimensions, the Enspire will be a more refined product, with better dynamic qualities and refinement when compared to the Envision.
Buick has followed this strategy to great effect in China over the past few years, fielding two models with similar sizes, with one being more premium and more expensive than the other. A prime example includes the Buick Excelle and Buick Verano. Most recently, the strategy propagated to all-new Buick Encore (second-generation model for China) and Encore GX.
In addition, it’s worth noting that the general dimensions of the upcoming Buick Enspire are similar to those of the Cadillac XT4, which is to be expected given the mechanical similarities of both models.
Envision | All-New Enspire | XT4 | |
---|---|---|---|
Length (in / mm): | 183.7 / 4666 | 182.3 / 4632 | 181.1 / 4599 |
Width (in / mm): | 72.4 / 1839 | 74.1 / 1880 | 74.1 / 1880 |
High (in / mm): | 66.8 / 1697 | 63.9 / 1624 | 64.1 / 1627 |
Wheelbase (in / mm): | 108.3 / 2751 | 109.4 / 2779 | 109.4 / 2779 |
We expect the Buick Enspire to be revealed some time in 2020 and go on sale in the second half of the year as a 2021 model year vehicle. The model is expected to be sold in both North America and China.

Sounds promising and most likely the Envision will go away? From the sales (or lack of) for the Envision and the fact that it’s built in China, I can see the Enspire taking off. Especially if it’s built in Farifax like the USA version of the XT4.
President Trump will be happy with the fact the upcoming 2021 Buick Enspire is built in the United States and that it will possibly replace the Buick Envision which is an import from China, like Trump enjoys reminding people.. build them in the United States to avoid tariffs.
I am always willing to poo-poo GM when they screw up, but I gotta say this, through the camo, looks like it could be quite a looker. Almost looks like what an Infiniti FX should have been back in the day. a little swoopy, a little classy, I like it.
The FX was auto porn. This Buick borrows cues from Mazda which is a good thing. Far nicer than Cadillac stable mate.
Buick knows how to build the product but can’t market or brand. Buick only makes money via spare GM parts.
finally! looks like a pretty big-ass screen in a GM vehicle. (Not the laptop. lol). Hopefully a sign of things to come. Geez – GM is getting killed by Dodge Ram and others on that front.
Good Afternoon everybody ! can anyone advise where I can purchase Original Hemp?
