The 2020 Silverado 1500 delivers various rolling updates and changes to the all-new model introduced in 2019. But one of the changes not yet announced is the addition of three new “value” packages for the WT (Work Truck), LT and RST trim levels.
Pricing information for these three packages is currently unknown, but considering the name in play here, we would expect them to be rather accessible. The packages are unique to each of the three trim levels listed, and include some of the more popular options bundled together into a single package.
We’ve listed the features of each package below, with all relevant RPO codes in parentheses.
WT Value Package
Let’s start with the base-model 2020 Silverado 1500 WT, which now offers the WT Value Package (PEB), which bundles together two popular packages, including:
- WT Convenience Package (PCV):
- Remote Keyless Entry
- EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate
- Tinted windows
- Rear-window defogger
- Cruise control
- Power mirrors
- Power windows, express up/down driver, power windows, express down passenger and power door locks on Regular Cab models
- Trailering Package (Z82):
- Trailer hitch with 7-pin and 4-pin connectors
- Hitch Guidance
The WT Value Package (PEB) is not available with the pickup bed delete (ZW9) option.
LT Value Package
Up next, we have the 2020 Silverado 1500 LT Value Package (PCQ), which includes:
- Remote Start Package (B59):
- Remote Start
- Content theft alarm

- 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels (PZX)
- 265/65R18SL all-terrain blackwall tires (XCK)
- All-weather floor liners (RIA, LPO)
The LT Value Package (PCQ) includes the turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine (L3B) and can not be optioned with the Convenience Package (PCL), All Star Edition (PDU), Texas Edition (PDA), Z71 Off-Road and Protection Package (PDZ), Z71 Off-Road Package (Z71), Max Trailering Package (NHT), and rubberized vinyl flooring (BG9).
Also note that the 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels (PZX) included with the LT Value Package (PCQ) can be upgraded to 20-inch aluminum wheels with Argent metallic pockets (RD4), or any other LPO wheel option.
RST Value Package
Finally, there’s the 2020 Silverado 1500 RST Value Package (PCR), which includes:
- Trailering Package (Z82):

What do they call the blue-ish color on the truck in that article photo?
I like the looks of that. Would look great in the RST trim.
That is the Northsky Blue Metallic. It’s the nicest color for the Silverado if you ask me.
Agree. Very sharp color.
I just picked up my 2019 RST in Northsky Blue on Friday. It’s even better in person…
Loving it so far. To be fair, I am only 200 miles into it though.
GM woke up to criticism of their truck line from consumers and critics. I have an 18 LT Silverado crew cab and really like it because it isn’t full of bells and whistles, but that’s me.
If this Silverado line proves to be reliable in terms of maintenance and performance, there’s no reason it won’t sell.
If the 6.2 is available in a 2020 RST, why isn’t it an option on the Build and Price page?
I wondered the same thing? Also, not on the 2020 LT Trail Boss, build page. I read a few articles ,this year, that the 6 2l, would indeed, be optional, in those models.
Just not optional yet. It’s September 2019
Look under the 6.2L Engine. “ Late availability on Custom Trail Boss, RST and LT Trail Boss”

Sure and the 2019 Silverado has been on sale for over a year now. We’re in model year 2020 at this point.
Yea, but they don’t need to offer every single 2020 option right out of the gate. Sheesh. Like i inferred in my other comment, the 2020s have just barely gone on sale, I bet most dealers dont even have 2020MY yet.
Cool your jets, the 6.2 will rollout into the lower trims this year, like GM said.
What I’m wondering about Chevy pickups in general is: what is the take rate on the 2.7 liter engine? I know it is standard, but aside from town service fleet use (utility companies, school districts) is anyone buying them, or are they paying the increased price to get the engine that was standard before?
Paying increased price for the engine that “was standard before”? The 2.7L engine wasn’t even available in a WT trim in the 2019 model year. It was and still is the standard engine (no increased price to get it) in the trim that it was originally available in, the LT trim.
Still mad about the lack of regular cab short box. Totally ridiculous when they build it but won’t sell in U.S.
By “standard “ I mean real world 1/2 tons found in the Sunday paper on special with extended cab and All Star package. Virtually every one of them were 5.3. Tests how I mean “standard”.
I’m not a fan of “packages” really. I mean there are few that are great like All Star and Z71 but I don’t like when I can’t get a stand alone option outside of the package if I don’t buy the whole package. Or I have to drop a whole package because I wanted a stand alone option. For example why not offer Z71 AND work truck appearance package together. Or why can you not get a 2 speed transfer case without having to get Z71. Little annoying things like that. I miss when everything was a’la carte and every vehicle was truly unique and “limited”.
Right, but chances are that’s where they make their money. Buy forcing people to pay for something they don’t want…That said, I totally agree with you though.
Looks like they also deleted the fog lamps on the RST model too judging by the online Configurator. I added a bunch of packages inflating the price well over 55K and still no fog lamps. De-contenting at its finest.
Can someone recommend Vest Tops? Thanks x
