Buyers of GMC’s all-new 2020 Sierra HD will have additional infotainment goodies to play with thanks to the introduction of SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, either as an available option or as standard equipment. In fact, the 2020 Sierra HD is the first GMC model to offer 360L.
Availability varies by trim level, as follows:
|Trim level:||Sierra (1SA)||SLE (3SA)||SLT (4SA)||AT4 (4SB)||Denali (5SA)|
|Sirius XM 360L:||-||A||S||S||S|
- – – Not Available
- A – Available
- S – Standard
SiriusXM is not available on the base 2020 Sierra HD, but is available on the SLE trim level when either the Preferred Package (RPO code PDQ) or the ProGrade Trailering System (RPO code ZL6) is equipped. The three remaining 2020 Sierra HD models – the SLT, AT4, and Denali – all get SiriusXM with 360L capability standard.
For those who may be unaware, SiriusXM 360L is an advanced version of the SiriusXM radio service, which bundles satellite radio and streaming radio (plus On Demand).
As such, SiriusXM 360L offers over 200 channels of content, plus pre-recorded shows, interviews, events, and sports broadcasts, not to mention content recommendations based on previous listener preferences. The end result is framed as “the best listening experience SiriusXM has ever offered.” A subscription is required for all enhanced and connected services after the initial free trial period ends.
In addition to the new 2020 Sierra HD, SiriusXM 360L is also offered on the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro and 2020 Silverado HD, as GM Authority exclusively reported previously. However, unlike the 2020 Silverado HD, the 2020 Sierra HD does not offer any version of SiriusXM radio that does not include advanced features of 360L.
The standard infotainment system for the 2020 Sierra HD includes a seven-inch infotainment screen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection, as well as Bluetooth, AppleCarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Voice command, USB ports, and six-speaker audio round it out. Higher in the line, 2020 Sierra HD buyers can opt for an eight-inch infotainment screen.
