Watch A Chevrolet Camaro Slam Into An Auto Repair Shop: Video

A 21-year old Alabama man was arrested and charged after the Chevrolet Camaro he was driving slammed into the front of a business in Greenville, South Carolina.

According to local CBS affiliate WSPA, Jaderric Freeman was driving the Camaro when he clipped another car and lost control of the vehicle. Security camera footage obtained by the station showed the two-door driving toward the shop at an extremely high rate of speed before mounting the curb, going airborne and slamming into the front of a Brakes 4 Less auto parts and repair shop with considerable force.

The driver, who was not injured, immediately jumped out of the vehicle and ran away. The vehicle’s airbags had already gone off when it hit the Brakes 4 Less store due to the prior collision with the third-party vehicle, which may have prevented injury to an extent.

“I was very surprised at the hang time that he was in the air,” Joseph Lehecka, District Manager of Brakes 4 Less, told WSPA. “When he hit the first car his side airbags and all that were already deployed before he hit our building, so he was wrapped in that cocoon as he was jumping.”

Freeman was charged with DUI and not surprisingly, more charges may be pending. We weren’t able to track down very many photos of this rather massive accident, but we imagine that was this Camaro’s last ride. As for the Brakes 4 Less store, employees estimate that it suffered thousands of dollars worth of damage, with the vehicle smashing through the glass windows at the front of the shop.

  1. And our children are on these same streets! I see really bad driving/drivers every day here in Los Angeles to the point where I don’t hardly feel safe driving with my kids any more.

Hopefully this idiot loses his “privilege” to drive for many years.
