Personalization and customization are pillars of the luxury and performance car markets, so naturally, Cadillac was sure that customers had a decent amount of selection with regard to the options on the 2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport.
Among those options are three different brake caliper color options. The Brembo brakes, which are offered on the CT5 Sport only and not the Premium or Premium Luxury models, are offered in black, blue and red calipers. The blue and red calipers also feature a V-Series logo.
These individualized, colored calipers include both front and rear brake assemblies.
|Production Code||Front Caliper Type & Color||Rear Caliper Type Color|
|J56||Black Brembo||Regular Unpainted|
|J6B||Blue Brembo with V-Series logo||Regular Blue with no logo|
|J6F||Red Brembo with V-Series logo||Regular Red with no logo|
As you may already know, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 is offered in three trim levels, starting with the base-level Luxury trim. Above the Luxury are the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, which make up separate branches of Cadillac’s latest Y-trim level strategy.
The unique calipers aren’t the only parts that set the 2020 Cadillac Sport apart from the Luxury and Premium Luxury models. The Sport model also gets a black mesh grille (as opposed to the bright grilles seen in the the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims) along with black window trim molding, body color door handles, gray-tinted taillight lenses, a trunklid lip spoiler and a rear lower valance.
There’s body-color rocker moldings with black extensions and standard 19-inch wheels as well – the latter of which are necessary to make room for the aforementioned Brembo calipers. The wheels also feature a grey-ish Pearl Nickel finish.
The 2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport is powered by the vehicle’s standard turbocharged 2.0L LSY four-cylinder engine producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbo 3.0L LGY V6 is optional, making 335 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
