Police Find Man’s Stolen C6 Corvette Z06 Submerged In A Lake

Police Kootenai County, Idaho were on the lookout for an orange C6 Corvette Z06 that had been stolen in the area, only to discover the car submerged in the bottom of a lake.
According to local news outlet Couer d’Alene Press, some residents were swimming near a public boat launch when they noticed a car completely submerged underwater. They then called police, who dispatched a dive team to the area to investigate the scene. After confirming that no one was inside the car, they pulled the car from the lake and determined it was a car that had been reported stolen earlier that day.
Couer d’Alene Press says there were no suspects in the case as of Thursday afternoon and police are encouraging residents with information to come forward. It’s not clear how the vehicle ended up in the lake, but it seems there are two possibilities: the thief either wanted a place to ditch the car where it would not be easy to trace it back to them, which is the more likely scenario, or they simply lost control and crashed into the body of water.
What’s worth noting here is that the C6 Corvette Z06 is available with a six-speed manual transmission only. Manual transmissions are sometimes jokingly referred to as theft-deterrent devices in the US as many drivers learn on an automatic car, but it seems this thief was proficient with three pedals and a stick. This thief also has good taste, for what it’s worth. If you’re going to steal something and potentially go to jail, it may as well be something with a manual transmission a 7.0-liter LS7, right?
We’re kidding of course, and we do feel bad for the person that lost their Z06. If you happen to live in the area and have information on the case, you can call the Kootenai Sheriff’s Detective Division.

We couldent get out of the parking lot for six hours because every single cop in the state of idaho showed up, but since I wasnt 18 at the time they couldent do an interview.
