General Motors has declared a third quarter 2019 dividend of 38 cents per share on the outstanding shares of the company’s common stock.
The GM dividend is payable Friday, September 20th, 2019 to all common stockholders of record at the close of business on Friday, September 6th, 2019.
The dividend was announced one day ahead of GM’s Q2 2019 earnings report, which was headlined by $2.4 billion in income on $36.1 billion in revenue. The results significantly outpaced analyst expectations, resulting in a rally for GM shares immediately after the earnings announcement, propelling the automaker’s stock three percent on news of the earnings. But the rally was short-lived due to escalating trade tensions between the U.S. and China.
