2020 Corvette Stingray Starts At $59,995, Z51 Package From $65,000

We already knew the 2020 Corvette Stingray would be priced from around $60,000, but now it’s official.

General Motors announced today the 2020 Corvette Stingray 1LT will start from $59,995 – and that’s including the $1,095 destination charge.

Prices for the slightly better equipped 2LT trim level, meanwhile, will start at $67,295, while the loaded 3LT trim will be priced from $71,945.

Additionally, the performance-focused Z51 package commands the same $5,000 price premium as it did on the previous Corvette C7. That means you can get a 2020 Corvette Stingray 1LT with the Z51 package for $65,000 including destination and before tax, title and licensing fees. Not a bad time to be a performance car enthusiast, is it?

“Most people thought when we moved the Corvette to mid-engine it would no longer be attainable, but we knew we couldn’t mess with a winning formula and the 2020 Stingray proves it,” said Chevrolet US vice president Brian Sweeney.

Standard equipment on the 2020 Corvette Stingray includes keyless entry and push button start, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, heated side mirrors, an 8-inch touchscreen display and 12-inch driver’s display, a leather wrapped steering wheel, leather GT1 seats, a cabin air filter and a Bose 10-speaker audio system.

Standard performance equipment includes a 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine making 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a dry-sump oiling system. The Z51 package brings a performance exhaust system to the table, boosting output to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft, along with performance suspension, an electronic limited slip differential, front splitter, rear spoiler, larger Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, a different axle ratio and front brake cooling ducts.

“We’ve packed a lot of performance into the Corvette Stingray at this price when you consider an eight-speed dual clutch transmission, Small Block V-8 and engine-mounted dry sump oil system are all standard,” said Corvette chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.

Chevrolet says the 2020 Corvette Stingray is available to pre-order immediately via Chevrolet.com. A dedicated Corvette Concierge team operating out of the Renaissance Center in Detroit is also on standby ready to answer questions related to the car and the buying process and can be contacted at 866-424-3892.

  4. At the moment.. the C8 Corvette to get is the Z51 with 3LT trim for about $71,945; luxury and comfort with unequal performance as this car can do it all especially as it has the luggage capacity to go away for the weekend.

At last, a genuine supercar, for real in engineering instead of just a story, and for real in my garage instead of just a picture on my wall. Thanks Eng.-Prof Jeuchter!
