2020 Corvette: Here Are The Six Wheel Choices

Chevy’s all-new 2020 Corvette will initially offer six wheel options, comprised of one standard wheel and five available wheels. GM Authority has compiled a comprehensive guide to 2020 Corvette wheels, complete with pictures, availability info, and other details for your browsing and shopping pleasure.
All five 2020 Corvette wheel options are made of aluminum and feature a staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear setup. The fronts are 8.5 inches wide while the rears are 11 inches wide. Each wheel varies in design and finish.
In addition, wheel availability is the same across 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT models, meaning each trim level receives the same standard wheel – the bright silver-painted Q8P. Two of the five sets (5DF and 5DG) are Genuine Corvette Accessories, which means that they are included as a second set of wheels when purchased. All 2020 Corvette wheels available from the factory are shown below.
- Q8P Bright Silver painted
- QEQ Carbon Flash-painted with machined edge
- 5DG Performance Pewter
- QES Machined-face and Sterling Silver-painted
- QET Machined-face and Spectra Gray-painted
- 5DF Black painted
The table below lists the six sets of 2020 Corvette wheels, along with the corresponding RPO Codes, diameters, widths, finishes, and trim level availability.
RPO Code | Material | Front Diameter (inches) | Rear Diameter (inches) | Front Width (inches) | Rear Width (inches) | Finish | Trim Level Availability |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Q8P | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Bright Silver-painted | 1LT, 2LT, 3LT |
QEQ | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Carbon Flash-painted with machined edge | 1LT,2LT,3LT |
QES | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Machined-face and Sterling Silver-painted | 1LT,2LT,3LT |
QET | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Machined-face and Spectra Gray-painted | 1LT,2LT,3LT |
5DF | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Black-painted | 1LT,2LT,3LT |
5DG | Aluminum | 19 | 20 | 8.5 | 11 | Performance Pewter | 1LT,2LT,3LT |
It’s also worth noting that more wheels might be added to the lineup in the near future, either for the 2020 or subsequent model years. For instance, the 5DG wheel was added later on in the 2020 model year.
Either way, there are several attractive 2020 Corvette wheel choices to choose from, straight from the factory. So, let us know in the comments section which set you would choose for the next-generation supercar.

Well, here’s my two cents worth, I’m retired, 65, grey hair and pretty sure us ‘old guys’ have more cash to buy a new C8 than Tadge’s wanna be youth buyers. I’m not sure how many kids with a wife and two screaming kids are going to be in this market. Black wheels are for government vehicles, cop cars and the like. When Chevrolet comes out with a decent chrome wheel i’ll be at the dealer making my deal unless I can buy the car and have my own wheels put on at the factory. The End.
Gary F,
Do you know why the Mustang is such a sales success? They have an export version with right hand drive so 40% of the production volume is exported compared to next to nothing for the Camaro.
The C8 is built for export. Most of the wealth around the world is now created outside the US and mostly in Asia. So if young Muricans can’t afford one, hundreds of thousands outside the US can. The average age of a Rolls Royce buyer in China is 42.
No offence but 65+ in the US are a dying breed. The business case for the C8 wasn’t made based on the old geysers love for chrome, suede interiors, pinstripes or vinyl roofs.
Don’t forget your Lipitor. ?
You know if your so worried what China is doing than what’s going on in America mybe you should movie,BY!!
I can see spelling is really challenging for you. Keep up your ESL classes Bob!
Well I see you must have missed that day of school when they taught common SENSE! It also sounds like your jealous on what kind of cars people has in other countries ! Me personally I don’t keep up with THE JONES,I don’t care what other people has , one thing about me is I OWN EVERYTHING I HAVE AN IM NOT IN DEBT, AN SO I DONT WORRY ABOUT HOW MUCH A MONTH THATS GOING TO COST!
GM needs to bring back the old popular rally wheels, they were clean an good looking wheels!!
Does anyone have a photo of a white C8 Corvette with chrome wheels? I know there is a debate about whether or not chrome should be used on a sports car but if we all saw some photos or a video it would be easier for us to make up our minds. I would love to see it. Even if I had the money to get a C8 I would have no clue as to which color I like best (black, graphite, silver, or white) so I am curious about a white/chrome combination.
O.K., I just googled, “White Ferrari with Chrome Wheels”, and I found this. It’s a Ferrari 360 Spider from 2003. The car still looks great but perhaps white with chrome wheels does look dated. What do you think?

I’ve had chrome (more than once) because that’s how the car or truck came. Never loved chrome. Always prefered polished aluminum over chrome, and now go out of my way now to choose polished. Classier. More realistic. YMMV
@PhD PE … but polished aluminum oxidizes. How do you keep polished aluminum wheels looking good?
Let me ask my detailer, I’ll get back to you…
Generally, factory polished wheels are clear-coated. If they aren’t, or, if they are polished aftermarket, should they begin to oxidize, you re-polish them (BEFORE pitted). Oxidation is of typically an environmental based event (unless someone is introducing an agent to the material). I live at the beach, commonly a harsh environment for raw aluminum, and I have owned polished aluminum wheels up to 8 years with no observable oxidation.

Got to see all of these wheels on actual C8’s at Carlisle last August.
The Q8P silver painted wheel was just too bright, which made me wonder how chrome wheels will really look. Let’s face it – they are either coming from the factory or the after market.
I’m a geezer, so the black options just don’t appeal to me at all.
I had polished aluminum wheels on my C6, and have chrome on my C7. Living near the coast I find chrome can be hard to keep up with due to the salt air.
I plan to look at all the options again at Carlisle this August, then place my order.
If I was ordering today it would be the QET.
I am also looking forward to seeing the different paint options for the convertible. I’m not crazy about the black headrest fairings.
Can’t wait to drive one!
Can one get the 5 Trident wheel in either Machine – faced and Spectra Gray – painted or Black painted in 19 X 9 and 20 X 11.5?
THE PROBLEM IS WITH SOCIETY, DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS WHEN WE ALLL LEARN TO ACCEPT
THAT CHOICES DIFFER WE WILL ALL BE BETTER FOR IT . I MAY NOT LIKE YOUR CHOICES BUT THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY ,YOU MAY NOT LIKE MY CHOICES BUT THATIS WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THEY MAKE DIFFERENT OPTIONS . YOU ENJOY YOURS AND I WILL ENJOY MINE!!!
