2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1: Live Photo Gallery (Daytime)

A few weeks ago, we published a series of shots of the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 sitting pretty at the 2019 Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Those shots were taken at night. But now, we have new shots of the same car captured during the day, giving us an even-better look at the new muscle car’s sinewy exterior styling.
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 trim level was announced earlier this past May, hitting the Bow Tie brand stable as an entry-level V8-powered model. We’ve been clamoring to get a closer look at the machine, and now we have it.
The first thing to hit us is the eyeball-searing Shock paint (color code GKO), which looks like it practically glows.
Because it’s based on the LT trim level, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 offers the subtle styling of the LT, rather than that of the SS model.
However, under the hood, the LT trim’s turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder LTG and naturally aspirated 3.6L six-cylinder LGX is nowhere to be found. Instead, the LT1 mounts the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT1 engine, churning out 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed through either a six-speed manual or the new GM 10-speed automatic.
For those looking for more info, we examined how the LT1 compares to the other trim levels in a post back in June.
To keep it shiny side up, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 gets FE3 sport suspension as standard, the same setup as the Camaro SS. However, unlike the SS, the LT1 doesn’t offer GM Magnetic Ride Control.
This particular Camaro LT1 mounts upgraded five-spoke Carbon Flash aluminum wheels measuring in at 20 inches in diameter (RPO code RTH) in all four corners. Meanwhile, we find the optional dual-mode exhaust system (NPP) at the rear.
We also got a look at the interior, including the flat-bottom steering wheel.
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 is new for the 2020 model year, and hits the sports car lineup as the most-affordable V8 model on offer, slotting below the Camaro 1SS – which features a different fascia and a host of other SS-specific goodies, while sharing the 6.2L LT1 engine.
Pricing starts at $34,995, and the very first units arriving at dealers any day now.

I’m really excited about this new Camaro LT1 model. Can’t wait to see one in the flesh.
hi,in my opinion GM needs a fresh design for both front and rear ,because they have messed up these two areas on the camaro and the falling sales prove my point.I think you need new designers at the drawing board!
sorry if i hurt your feelings GM…..
