What A $400K Chevrolet Silverado 6X6 Is Really Like To Drive: Video

Last week we shared a video that Hennessey Performance Engineering had put together of the new Hennessey Goliath 6×6 – a massive, six-wheel take on the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss.

That was just a short promotional video that featured some beauty shots of the truck driving around, however, so it was pretty useless if you actually wanted to know what the rather absurd Chevrolet Silverado 6×6 is like to drive.

Luckily popular truck and off-roading YouTube channel The Fast Lane Truck made the trip down to California to sample the Goliath so us General Motors enthusiasts can get a true idea of what a six-wheel drive Silverado feels like from the cabin.

In addition to the extra rear axle, the Goliath 6×6 also comes with an eight-inch suspension lift, 20-inch Hennessey off-road wheels wrapped in knobby 37-inch BF Goodrich tires, new front and rear bumpers, a bed-mounted utility bar, LED auxiliary lights and more. Prices start at $375,000, but options like a 700+ horsepower supercharged version of the truck’s available 6.2-liter L86 V8 engine will cost extra.

The example that TFLTruck drove for their video review is the first Chevrolet Silverado 6×6 Hennessey has built. It will eventually be delivered to Bob Berrard, who owns the largest potato farm in Wisconsin. John Hennessey, owner of HPE, says they have a few more orders for the $375,000 package already, including one from a customer in Germany, of all places.

Check out the video review embedded above to find out what it’s really like to drive a wild, six-figure, six-wheel-drive Chevrolet Silverado.

  1. Why the HELL bother doing this to a 1500? Should have been a 3500. ALL credibility has been lost with me!

      1. Look at the front axle, it is a 6 bolt pattern. Both the 2500 and 3500 utilize the 8 bolt pattern hub. This truck is just a good looking marketing tool for Hennessey. I doubt that the potato farmer will use the bed of the truck for hauling potato(es).

    1. Look at the SIX lug axles and tell us again that it’s a 3500! It’s a 1500 made into a useless mockery of a ‘truck’. Again, for those who have trouble understanding things…six lugs are for 1500’s…half tons. 8 lugs are 2500/3500’s. If you look…you’ll see…SIX lugs…have someone help you count if necessary. Of course, most notably is the FACT that that is NOT an HD body style! That’s the new, ugly ’19 1500. Half ton. Get it? Got it? Good.

  4. Why the half ton axles should have the heavy duty 1 ton 8 lug axles
