GM Announces Chevrolet Trailblazer Perfect Edition II

GM and Chevrolet recently threw a Fourth of July party in Thailand, celebrating the American spirit and Chevy’s all-American history with food, music, and entertainment. As expected, the celebration also included a number of product announcements, including the new Colorado 4th of July Edition and Colorado Trail Boss for the international-market Colorado, as well as the vehicle featured here – the new Perfect Edition II accessory package for the Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ.

This latest package for the Trailblazer SUV follows the original Perfect Edition accessory package, adding in a host of new aesthetic enhancements including a new spoiler in the rear, plus extra bits and pieces for both the front and rear bumpers. There are also new mudguards in the corners, which are housed underneath larger fender flares for both the front and rear wheels.

All told, the Perfect Edition II accessory package for the Chevrolet Trailblazer is priced at 23,855 Baht, or $774 at current exchange rates (7/21/2019). For reference, the standard Chevrolet Trailblazer is priced at 1,144,000 Baht ($37,117). Motivation is sourced from the 2.5L XLD25 turbodiesel four-cylinder powerplant, which produces 180 horsepower and 440 Nm (325 pound-feet) of torque.

It’s also worth noting that the model featured here is the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV, which is produced in Thailand for Southeast Asia. This model is not available in the U.S. market, and differs from the new Trailblazer crossover that will soon go on sale in the States.

What’s more, it’s very much possible that the international-spec Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV will be phased out globally after the current generation. Its replacement could be the three-row Chevrolet Blazer crossover that’s coming soon for the Chinese market.

As such, it makes sense for Chevrolet to ramp up the accessory packages and extras with the current-gen Trailblazer SUV, milking it for all it’s worth before it potentially hits the dustbin to make way for the Blazer.

  1. I do think the newer TrailBlazer looks more modern . But GM seems to have this undeniable thought process that if its something the Chinese market will like then they will sell it in the U.S. , and then build it in Mexico . I get the whole globalization of U.S automakers but it’s a hard sell when GM ” idles ” assembly plants and lays-off the Americans that they want to sell these vehicles too . This venture is hurtng our economy and giving the new Chevy crossovers a bad vibe .

  3. Well once the UAW agreement is reached we should hear more on the future of the new product here. For now they are negotiating chips in the new deal.

But they should strike a deal and we should see a Jimmy and K5 added to the Wentzville MO plant that are all new along with the new Colorado and Canyon.

I feel an agreement will be made as GM has laid out several large deals to keep and expand some plants with new products. The UAW also has skin in the game as they own a part of GM now too.

I am just glad they are moving the new model here vs this one as it is butt ugly from the front doors back. GM did the right thing and redesign the present Colorado for this market and not just pawn off the more crude Holden. They look to be doing the same here on the SUV.

If they had just moved this one here it never would have lived up to its potential. Also the timing had to be right to bring the new model out and the process was delayed with Isuzu leaving. Too many Web CEO’s leave out many details they either never consider of know about.

  4. Bring us a rear wheel drive Trailblazer with a 4×4 option. No more unibody all wheel drive garbage like now. The old GMT 360 platform was a great one. You still can not beat the 4.2 straight 6 engine. Jeep is destroying all of you by keeping the full frame Cherokee. Listen to what consumer’s want. Instead of shoveling crap @ us!!!

  5. Wtf did I just read? Chevy introduced a 4th of July edition in Thailand? Might as well unveil a Ronald Reagan statue in red square. Or maybe a Hillary Clinton in any democracy. This is ludicrous and offensive as hell. So sick of GM and their increasingly leftist bent and xenophelia. Many Americans want to buy American cars made by American people working for American companies. Those who don’t…..have much nicer choices than a sad sack Chevy. Gm had better wake up and realize that their niche is in selling unabashedly American cars. This globalist bullcrap is tone deaf and offensive to the core customer. If you want to go all uncle Sam on us and market a 4th of July truck, you damn well better make that announcement in Detroit, or Philadelphia, or wentzville . Many folks are quite tired of gm rubbing their nose in such nonsense
