2020 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko/SC Stage 2 Packs 1,000 HP

Speciality Vehicle Engineering, a New Jersey based purveyor of tuning packages for General Motors vehicles, has unveiled its 2020 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko/SC Stage 2 package, which makes nearly 1,000 horsepower at the wheels.

This Yenko/SC-branded 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is really not much different than the 2019 model year version of the SVE tuning package – save for the fact that its based on the new 2020 model year Camaro. GM of course changed the front end of the muscle coupe for 2020, painting the black contrasting bits of the front end body color and moving the Chevrolet bowtie emblem from the center bar in the grille to the upper portion.

Providing the power here is an LT1 based small-block V8 engine that has been stroked to 6.8-liters and a had a massive supercharger bolted on top. The engine also gets CNC ported LT4 cylinder heads, upgraded fuel injectors, a 10% larger throttle body, custom stainless steel headers and a full stainless steel exhaust system. An improved engine oil cooler, dual outboard radiators, a transmission cooler and rear differential cooler also ensure the driver is able to actually stretch the legs of this 1,000 hp Camaro for extended periods of time.

Cosmetic upgrades include black five-spoke wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, various Yenko exterior and interior badging and a carbon fiber hood with an induction scoop and contrasting Yenko badges.

Additionally, customers have the option to order their 2020 Chevrolet Camaro donor car with the 1LE package, giving them improved handling and braking performance to go along with their new 1,000 horsepower powerplant.

    That is just the price of the package. You still have to buy a new SS 1LE for them to modify. All in, you’re looking at ~$110k.

    1. For this story & 1st comment: I’m smack-dab-in-between: Yea & NAY! Yea: because Chevrolet is putting another Yenco S/C into production! Nay: is the price for “all components involved to build” this FINE machine! [In-between] How much are folks willing to fork out 2 buy this car & it’s equipment?

      1. This car isn’t produced by GM. It is produced by SVE. It is a third party company that modifies vehicles. You purchase a new SS 1LE, ship it to SVE (along with a check for $70k) and they’ll modify your SS 1LE into their version of a Yenko.

        1. If that’s the case: then “all anyone is doing is transfering a registerable SS 1LE into a unstreetable ride! Their Yenco’s are track use only cars”! Just Like the Dodge Demon! [if i’m pulling your leg: then try to license it for the street & the DMV in your state/county WILL PROVE MY POINT] GM originally builds the SS 1LE; then @ the customers choosing; they send it off to: SVE for them to finish the build; to personalize their ride!

            Again, these Yenko’s and the Dodge Demon are 100% street legal. Register them, tag them, drive them to dinner. LOL! My buddy has a Demon and we go to car shows together all the time. I drive my Grand Sport and he drives the Demon. You’re funny, bud.

    2. Everyone who thinks the 6th generation Yenko isn’t street legal is wrong, wrong, wrong! I own one with DMV plates , and drive next to cops all the time! They’re possibly thinking of the COPO Camaro,which is not street legal! Now all of you who thought you were smarter than a 5th grader, can apologize!

  3. Registered car’s you ask? “Registered to drive on open-public-roads-w/o-being-ticketed-for-not-being-licensed-for-road-travel” According to each states D.M.V.=Department of Motor Vehicles! Any automobile has too prove it can operate @ public speeds to be licensed to drive on public roads(anywhere w/in this grand U.S.A. of our’s)! In my state: the “Legal” horse power number is under 385 [according to my understanding about legal HP limits]

    1. Well, in that case, the Demon is street legal. They aren’t built solely for track use. Regardless, getting back to GM products, that 385 hp number seems drastically low. That would preclude all Corvettes (min hp 455), lots of the Camaros, Silverados with the 6.2 liter, and so on, from being “street legal”.

      1. After Peter’s comment: i went to the web & looked up the dodge demon & found that they promoted the car for track use. Not for STREET use! Unless My state has increased the HP limit towards ALL registered auto’s; each factory’s status’s about their automobiles need to be Okayed to be sold to the public w/in Each state’s D.M.V.’s RULE’s to be okayed to be licensed! [OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT GIVE OUT TAGS TO THOSE OWNER’S]

  4. And far as I know there are no horsepower limits it all depends on the engine and compression not the horsepower
