If you’ve been curious how much the 2020 Cadillac XT6 would cost in its various trim levels and how the crossover’s options would be priced, we have some good news for you.
General Motors has launched the 2020 Cadillac XT6 online configurator today (thanks to GM Authority reader Davis for the tip!), allowing you to customize the vehicle to your liking and receive a price quote.
We were curious just how expensive the XT6 could get, so we stuck just about every option on the example vehicle pictured here (including AWD and $1,225 Red Horizon Tintcoat paint), pushing the price to around $77,000 with destination.
Most buyers will be happy with the equipment that comes on the Premium Luxury base model, which starts at $55,690 with AWD, but adding options that we think many buyers will want (like the Driver Assist Package) will push the price closer to or into the $60,000 range.
If you were hoping to get a white Cadillac XT6, you will have to pay extra, as there isn’t a no-charge white paint option. GM’s Crystal White Tintcoat color will add $1,225 to the price of the vehicle.
The 2020 Cadillac XT6 began rolling off the assembly line at GM’s plant in Spring Hill, Tennesse in January of this year. It fills the gap between the two-row XT5 and the full-size, three-row Escalade, giving buyers three rows worth of seating in a smaller and more fuel efficient package.
“The first-ever Cadillac XT6 delivers a compelling blend of spaciousness, safety and convenience features for customers who thrive on doing it all,” Cadillac boss Steve Carlisle said when GM debuted the car this January. “It joins the all-new XT4, which has soared to the top spot in its segment, our global best-selling XT5 and the iconic Escalade to accelerate the brand’s global growth, with a spirit that is uniquely Cadillac.”
You can access the configurator at this link. Let us know how you configured your 2020 Cadillac XT6 in the comments below.

Nice looking and a good value for the $55k – $65k price point. It’s a tough sell at $77k unless it had Super Cruise.
I am looking forward to this rig being updated with the CT6 chassis. It needs better proportions and a updated interior. The new Mercedes GLE just made the interior for all competitors obsolete IMO. I suspect that the Escalade will deliver a new paradigm for Cadillac interiors that will take a while to migrate to the XT6.
Cadillac will sell a lot of these, but I think there will be a glass ceiling in the mid-upper 60K range for the XT6.
I noticed the performance suspension option. I wonder if it will be as big of an improvement over the base model XT6 suspension as it is in the XT4. The performance oriented XT4 rides/handles like its on rails.
Let me know when they release an XT6V and I’ll be interested… too slow for me.
Is that black lip piece on premium luxury a glitch or actually black plastic. I wanna believe it’s a glitch because it looks like all XT6’s are body color all the way around.
The Cirrus color option available on the Premium Lux trim looks great. Glad they added a darker material to the center trim piece rather than just having the brown available. Yeah the whole interior is copied from the XT5 but I still think it looks pretty good.
The configurator is a little glitchy. It disappears if you click on the images shown when choosing colors. Doesn’t show the metal speaker grills either. When clicking build and price it automatically brings you to stop 7-summary instead of starting at Step 1
Ok so that was just for looking at the colors for interior and exterior. Actual configuration page is still buggy tho. Didn’t realize metal speakers weren’t standard
Severely limited choice of colors, inside and out. The Cirrus is too light for a “utility” vehicle, and everyone gets black carpet and lower door & dash. The only blue is mostly gray. I thought computerized manufacturing was supposed to increase flexibility and choices, not restrict them. It isn’t the FWD platform and modified XT5 dash that stinks of cost-cutting to me.
Am I the only one who thinks 5 wheel choices is overkill? Are they really that important to people that they’ll spend >$2k for something slightly different.
You say they have been coming off the line since January I ordered one on May2 and have heard nothing on it. You say they will be out Mid 2019 well this is almost mid June which is the middle month of the year this will be my 6th Cadillac maybe if don’t get moving.
After playing with the configurator, I am kind of shocked at how high the price gets once this vehicle has options added to it. For $77,000 I can name quite a few cars that offer far more equipment and refinement (Aviator, X5, Q7, XC90 to name a few). I actually don’t mind that this platform is FWD based, given that it allows for more efficient interior packaging. However, I am bothered by the lack of powertrain options (plug-in hybrid would be great), lack of colors aside from the usual various shades of gray, and the somewhat lackluster interior (shiny wood and hard plastics below elbow level just don’t sit well with me). I also feel that the center console area could be improved by changing the cup holder cover to have OPEN PORE wood/carbon fiber on it in place of the stitched one. It would help to break up all of the “leather” down there. For $77,000, I would at least expect optional seats with more adjustments (massage function too), multi-color ambient lighting (not like the overdone GLE, but more like the XC90, which has it placed so it shines indirectly) center console option and sunshades for the second row, and a much more powerful V6 (the 3.6TT from the XTS V-Sport would be a great choice). A 21 inch wheel option for the Premium Luxury trim would also make this car stand out, as I think the chrome really elevates its exterior presence. Hopefully some of these issues are addressed with a mid-cycle update or the next generation (hopefully on the VSS-R architecture). I am rooting for Cadillac, I know they have the potential to be great!
I built one for $68.000+ there is no way in hell. I wonder have many of you have actually seen the XT6 in person and got inside of it? I have at its a let down. I have seen and been inside both the new GLE , X5, as well as the Q7 and others. The Chevrollac is a joke to say least. The X5 and GLE sell very well I doubt this will hurt them. Build a nice car and I will buy it GM/Cadillac until then in the luxury market the European or Asians.
So is this all what Cadillac is offering? I am asking.
XT4,5,6 Escalade (yes, I know about the new one)
CT4,5,6 this is there whole line-up? Against Audi, Acura, BMW, Infinit, Lexus, Mercedes and others? More Audi, BMW, Lexus and MB.
Their wholeline up and that’s it?
Without an option for the Blackwing V8, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is still a premium Chevrolet Blazer especially when Chevy introduces the 3-row Blazer XL.
I’m not generally a hater, but, why buy this when you can get a GMC Acadia that actually looks better and feels just as premium, and seats the same number, for….probably 20k less. Apply that to the Traverse too.
Every color except basic silver is a $625 option. Sorry, no thanks. GMC does the same thing but they only charge $495. I’m pretty sure its the same kind of paint.
Chevrolet offers several metallic colors on the Traverse (mosaic black, satin steel, graphite) for FREE. Cajun tintcoat is $395.
It’s ALL THE SAME PAINT.
These will be getting incentivized heavily in about 1-2 years, down into the 40-50k range for luxury models. I guarantee it. Please, please, do not buy one of these for 60 or 70 thousand dollars.
This is the main issue with the XT6! Other than unique sheet metal and a few stand-alone options, what would make a discerning customer choose to spend the extra ~$20K over an Acadia Denali V6 (or another brand for that matter)? Digital instrument cluster? Nope. Multi-contour massaging seats? Nope. If you look closely, you can see the seats are nearly a dead copy of those in the Traverse/Acadia/Enclave, just with different leather and stitching… as are the control layouts and some of the switchgear. Hell, the Blazer-style mirrors aren’t doing this “luxury” crossover any favors either. Something about this car reeks of cost cutting and the “Old GM” in my opinion.
At this point Cadillac is simply just a trim level. Reminds me of Mercury..and we all know what happened to that company. But seriously give it a few years they will be piling cash and incentives on the hood to moves these things just like they did with the ATS and CTS. It’s so unfortunate.
I like the looks but until it gets a better suspension and engine package it’s nothing more than a rental vehicle that’s not worthy of my garage.
Just bought an XT6 Sport, lots of bells and whistles. Even with the sales person showing me how to operate them I think I need a personal tutor but with time I’ll get it. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that there is no CD player option. My favorite feature in my 2016 ATS. What is the matter with GM. Do they want to chase away older people (more older folks now than young) by not offering the features they like. Technology is not obsolete for the people who have 100s of CDs and love playing them in their car. But I do love driving this automobile and I plan on keeping it a long time (I did have to sell one of my lungs to get it) but it’s worth it. What a beautiful car living up to the prestigious Cadillac name.
