By now, you’re all well aware that Hennessey Performance Engineering can pump serious horsepower into any car, even the beastly 755-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged LT5 engine from the 2019 Corvette ZR1. As a matter of fact, we’ve recently shared a rather impressive video of that car roll racing a stock Dodge Demon. Now, Hennessey has gone a step further with its HPE800 Cadillac Escalade.
The current Cadillac Escalade is no slouch out of the box. Powered by the 420-horsepower 6.2L L86, and mated to the MF6 10-speed automatic gearbox, it’s not only respectfully quick as it is, but it can also seat eight people and tow up to 8,300 pounds.
Now, imagine what would happen if you added a 2.9L supercharger running at 10 psi of boost pressure. The result is nothing less than mind-blowing. This tuned Escalade now cranks out 805 horsepower (740 hp at the rear wheels) and 812 pound-feet of torque, numbers that would put some of the best exotic supercars to shame.
And that’s precisely what the HPE800 Escalade does in this video. While it ultimately loses to this stock Ferrari 488, the Escalade launches hard with all-wheel drive, holding up a good fight against the 661-horsepower, mid-engine raging stallion. The truck is actually neck-to-neck with the Ferrari until about halfway down the straightaway where the 488 catches up, finishing approximately two car lengths ahead of the Cadillac.
Still, we could sit here all day watching this near-6,000 pound full-size SUV take on this Italian exotic. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

As an old McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom pilot once said.. ‘with a big enough engine even a brick can fly’; but this high performance Cadillac Escalade is perfect proof that luxury isn’t something wrapped in leather as horsepower can be just as luxurious and is reason why the next generation Cadillac Escalade should have Cadillac’s Blackwing V8 as an engine option.
It’s fun until first corner lol. Now test it against Tesla Model X.
And it’s white with black trim, GYSOT ! Bronco you’re next to see CADILLAC tail ! Lol
