Chevy Youth Baseball Program Featured In New Ad: Video

Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet – it all just goes so well together, doesn’t it? In many ways, the Chevy brand is woven deep into the fabric of American culture, so it should come as no surprise that the automaker prides itself as the official vehicle of Major League Baseball. However, the Bow Tie brand’s connection to this star-spangled sport seems to run deeper than the big leagues. In fact, it starts at the grass-roots level with the Chevy Youth Baseball program.

As highlighted in this brief 30-second video ad, the Chevy Youth Baseball program helps to get kids out of the house to play the game. Thanks to support from local Chevy dealers, the program works to provide a litany of services, including the donation of equipment and uniforms, as well as field clean-up efforts and the sponsorship of free baseball skill clinics.

Since 2006, the Chevy Youth Baseball program claims to have helped some 8 million kids, with 1,810 free youth clinics held, 15,346 league enhancements made, and 149,000 baseball equipment kits donated. In 2018 alone, 1,299 dealers from 77 markets in five different regions participated in the program, helping over 623,000 kids in the process.

Youth sports programs are critical components to a thriving community, and can create strong ties that last a lifetime. They provide important life lessons and skills, from teamwork to how to be a good winner, and to accepting defeat with grace. And of course, we can’t forget the most important thing of all – playing baseball is a whole lot of fun!
