Chevrolet Tahoe sales decreased 12 percent in the first quarter of 2019, not a great turn of events considering current market trends that strongly favor utility vehicles such as crossovers and SUVs over sedans. We attribute the sales volume decrease to production downtime, coupled with fierce competitive pressure from direct rivals including the new Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada, as well as some anticipation of the all-new Tahoe, which is coming for the 2021 model year. Now, in what could be a way to maintain Tahoe sales volumes in the interim, a new Chevrolet rebate reduces the price of select Tahoe models by as much as $3,000.
Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet discounts on the Tahoe for June 2019 are as follows:
- 2019 Tahoe cash incentive: $1,500 cash allowance + $1,500 customer cash = $3,000 total cash allowance on select models when financing with GM Financial
It’s worth noting that the above Chevrolet discount offers only apply to 2019 models, as the Bow Tie brand has ended all offers for 2018 models, which were rather lucrative in prior months. On top of that, Chevy has ended its interest-free financing offer for the Tahoe, which was available in May.
For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Tahoe trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:
- LSÂ (1LS) – $49,195
- LTÂ (1LT) – $54,195
- Premier (1LZ) – $63,895
Applying the $3,000 Chevrolet discount to an in-stock 2019 Tahoe Premier model with an MSRP of $75,505 reduces the starting price of said model to $72,505.
