When it comes to connectivity in modern cars, it’s easy to stop at Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but the fact of the matter is that modern cars are now fitted with a plethora of other neat features that are often overlooked. The Cadillac XT4 connectivity features are a case in point. The compact crossover is loaded with new apps that, according to Cadillac, help make your life easier.
And to better showcase them, Cadillac has put together a new promotional video. Let’s take a closer look at each feature presented in the clip.
Entitled “Photo Pro”, the video depicts a young female photographer, who appears to be so busy, that she needs to rely on her car’s apps to get her job done. The first feature presented is Remote Start via the myCadillac mobile app. As the (observably affluent) photographer gets inside her XT4, she interacts with the OnStar Marketplace app to preorder a coffee at Dunkin Donuts.
The next Cadillac XT4 connectivity feature portrayed is the available Wi-Fi Hotspot. The video shows the young lady using it to upload what appears to be “client photos.” And finally, we’re presented with the Cadillac XT4’s Send-to-Navigation feature, which allows one to send the next destination from the mobile app to the vehicle’s navigation system, which is highly useful when in a rush and want to have the vehicle start route guidance immediately upon getting in, rather than spending a minute or two searching for the destination on the infotainment screen.
