Cadillac Discount Slightly Cuts Price Of XT4 Crossover In June 2019

Cadillac XT4 sales totaled 7,026 units in the first quarter of 2019, favorable results, especially given limited on-the-ground availability of the small crossover SUV. Currently, Cadillac discounts on the 2019 XT4 aren’t exactly lucrative: with GM running three separate offers on the compact luxury crossover.

Incentives

The Cadillac discount offers on the XT4 for June 2019 are as follows:

  • Retail offer: $500 cash on any XT4 model (for everyone)
  • Finance offer: 1.9 percent APR financing for 72 months through Ally, US Bank, or GM Financial. This offer is not available with other offers.
  • Lease offer (for current lessees): $1,250 cash for current GM lessees
    • To qualify, buyer must show proof of current GM lease through Ally, US Bank, or GM Financial. This offer is not available with some other offers.

Interested parties should note that all of the above Cadillac discount offers require the buyer to take delivery by July 1st, 2019.

For reference, here are the 2019 XT4 trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:

  • Luxury – $36,690
  • Premium Luxury – $40,790
  • Sport – $40,790

As such, the $500 Cadillac discount reduces the starting price of the XT4 Luxury to $36,190, including destination.

It would seem that the lack of major Cadillac discounts on the XT4 is a result of strong demand for the small luxury utility vehicle, since GM and most other automakers typically keep incentives to a minimum when there is significant demand and tight supply.

  2. Even without the discounts, it’s still a lot of value…
    Best values on the planet:
-Z06, Lil Caesars Deep! Deep!, and now the Cadillac XT4… Don’t believe me? Check one out yourself! Get you some of this, I’m tellin’ ya!

  3. Cadillac XT4 sales totaled 7,026 units first quarter of 2019; but Cadillac knew sales for this model wouldn’t be very high and the main objective was to give Cadillac a product for the segment which means almost any number would be great as this is why Cadillac doesn’t have very many options as the LSY 2.0L DOHC-4v 4-cyl turbo is the only engine available as the XT4 wasn’t designed to compete against something like the Chevrolet Equinox which sold 88,500 units in Q1 of 2019.

    1. GM has been pushing Equinox down our throats with heavy discounts.

  4. The XT4 isn’t even coming close to hitting the internal numbers- and I mean not even close.

    1. Completely agree as they’re now offering discounts. I love how the comment is: “especially given limited on-the-ground availability”… excuses, excuses, excuses… GM is lazy, cheap and Sr Mgt is pathetic…

  5. I’ll say this much:

The BEV3 platform can’t arrive soon enough for Cadillac’s CUV portfolio. As long as there’s even one core CUV using a GM FWD/AWD platform, their platform mates will continue to be hamstrung.

If the VSS-R can’t support CUVs, or if VSS-S doesn’t include RWD/AWD, the BEV3 in RWD/AWD format is Cadillac’s best and last hope for a truly competitive, differentiated lineup.

The XT4 should’ve been a Buick all along.

  6. Cadillac / GM isn’t worried about sales volumn anymore just TAP’s . The XT4 is a good small CUV , pricing though might be a problem . Wish the XT5 had the XT4’s interior . The 500 dollars will only pay for the paperwork , title and transfer of your plates .

    1. TAPs don’t operate in a vacuum! Just look at all the underutilized plants GM is closing! And one of those includes a model with probably the second highest TAP in the Cadillac line. As far as I know, CT6 future long term is in limbo.

  7. I would bet the main sales are just XT5 owners moving to XT4.

I was in for this vehicle but again, not for a FWD and for sure not for a 2.0T blah.

But I am sure I am the only one and its all going just as GM planned.

  8. To be more atractive for young drivers XT4 needs digital cluster, bigger and more integrated display, more colors inside/outside.

  10. GM’s major problem is absolutely no one sees it as competition for MB/BMW or Audi. Mercedes sold 70000 GLC’s last year and has already sold over 27K so far this year, thru May. This vehicle needs to be BETTER and the warranty needs to be BETTER, the customer service needs to be BETTER, the value needs to be BETTER… Selling 7000 in a 1/4 is miserable… The vehicle needs to be better and GM is too cheap to give customers better vehicles… sell mediocrite for sizable bucks is no way to grow a business… and thus GM is destined to continue to fail. For goodness sake WHEN is Typhoid Mary going to be fired? She wasted no time canning JDN yet these are products he inherited and approved…
