Holden Colorado Gains Dedicated Accessory Packs For A One-Stop Modification Shop

The Holden Colorado is the future at GM’s Australian subsidiary. That much the brand has said before, but now, we’re seeing evidence of the focus on the pickup.

The brand released five accessory packs that cast a wide net to reel in buyers from various segments. The packs, which do not void the pickup’s factory warranty, include the Tradie, Farmer, Rig, and Xtreme packs. Each name is relatively self-explanatory for what buyers can expect.

Holden Colorado Tradie pack

The Tradie pack includes side steps, canvas seat covers, hood protector, all-weather floormats, extra cup holders, and a towing package. For those that use their Holden Colorado as part of the business, the Tradie pack bundles a lot of goods for about $4,500 USD.

Holden Colorado Black pack

Those in search of a racier exterior will flock to the Black pack. As the name implies, the package darkens the exterior with sporty Z71 black wheels, a black grille, a beefier hood, and a rear tailgate decal. Locals will be able to add the looks to the Colorado for just over $2,000.

Holden Colorado Farmer pack

For crew-cab Colorado models, the Farmer pack will get to work. Available in two flavors (light-duty and heavy-duty), the Farmer pack adds a rear bed tray to replace the typical bed, a bullbar, and a towing package. Heavy-duty models go a step further with fender flares and underbody protection. Holden said the pack will cost $4,300 for the light-duty version and $5,400 for the heavy-duty variant.

Holden Colorado Rig pack

Those looking for a more butch exterior will find options in the Rig pack. It adds a chrome bumper bar, LED light bar, electric towing package, more cup holders, and weather protectors. Buyers will find a price of $3,200 attached.

Finally, the Xtreme pack (pictured at the top of the story) adds features to the Colorado Z71. For the off-roaders, it’s the go-to choice with a heavy-duty suspension, winch bar system, towing package, and a roof tray. All-terrain tires also come standard, as do a black grille, fender flares, side steps, and sports bar and tonneau cover. With the most gear, it’ll cost the most too at $13,400 atop the price of a Colorado Z71.

  1. The Future in Austrailia is trucks and CUV/SUV models.

The best selling vehicle there is not a 4 door RWD sedan…… It is a Toyota Pick Up. Their market is seeing a change much as our has and the truck,CUV and SUV are leading the way.

I ponder why GM has not made the move to make the full size a regular production vehicle there.

  2. Totally agree Scott3. GM, and Dodge are missing out big time by not offering RWD full size utes. Not sure about Ford. Toyota as well could offer their full size ute and sell them big time. Then the 4WDs would follow.
