2019 IndyCar Content, Corvette ZR1 Added To Forza Motorsport 7

The NTT IndyCar Series and Microsoft have put their heads together to bring Forza Motorsport 7 players a ton of free new DLC content just in time for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

We knew this DLC update was inbound after Microsoft teased it on Twitter last week, but now players can download all the add-on content for free and hit the oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The update includes the Dallara DW12 IndyCar chassis with the universal aero kit (which can be specced out with both oval and road course wings), Mario Andretti’s 1969 Ford Brawner Hawk and a 2019 Corvette ZR1 Pace Car.

The Corvette ZR1 is a somewhat odd addition, as a special red and gold liveried C7 Corvette Grand Sport will be pacing this year’s Indy 500 – not a black and silver 2019 Corvette ZR1 like the car that was added into the game. We doubt Forza fans will be complaining about having the 755-horsepower ZR1 in place of the 455-horsepower Grand Sport, though.

The Dallara DW12 IndyCar is available in both Chevy and Honda flavors and in four different paint schemes. Graham Rahal’s No. 15 car and Scott Dixon’s No. 9 car are available for Honda fans, while Chevy die-hards can choose between the No. 2 of Josef Newgarden or the No. 22 of Simon Pagenaud.

Finally, Forza is also hosting a ‘Bounty Hunter’ event for online players that will allow them to add real-life IndyCar drivers to their Xbox friends list and attempt to beat their time around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Those players that beat the driver’s times will receive a special in-game reward car.

The Forza Motorsport 7 IndyCar DLC is available to download and play now on Xbox One and PC.
