It Does Not Get More American Than This 1987 Cadillac Limousine

What’s the most American vehicle in existence? Before today, we would have probably said it was the Ford F-150, or perhaps the military’s personal vehicle of choice, the Hummer H1.
But today we laid eyes upon this, a beautifully customized 1987 Cadillac Brougham limousine listed for sale on eBay. As you can see, this rather large slice of Americana is painted up like a giant stars and stripes flag (that’s right, this isn’t a vinyl wrap, it’s real paint) and has had its roof removed. The seller says it has decently straight body panels and is presented in good condition with a clean title. They have even taken it on long road trips recently and say it “runs down the highway at 70 mph like it should.”
“If you drive this Caddy past Mount Rushmore you’d have the four freedom founders cranking their necks and turning their heads to take a peak,” the rather humorous listing says. “If you are looking for a vehicle to take to Pebble Beach Concourse and win top prize, swipe left. But if you want a ride that DTF (Down To Freedom) aka can be enjoy at local car shows and paraded around with style, this is it.”
The limo comes with four brand new tires, four wire style hub caps and an original, working radio. The radio isn’t so good, though, so the new owner can always add “a screaming eagle system,” to go with the patriotic paint job, the seller says. The limo’s speedometer and gas gauge works but the odometer won’t not turn, and the windows in all the doors have been removed, unsurprisingly. The windshield also has some rock chips, but it’s not fully cracked.
This amazing Cadillac limousine has attracted nearly 100 bids on eBay at the time of writing, so there are definitely some fans of this car out there. Check out the listing at this link for additional information and photos.
