Hennessey 2019 Corvette ZR1 Makes Over 900 Horsepower At The Wheels: Video

It takes a special kind of person to look at the 650-horsepower C7 Corvette Z06 and think “you know what? That’s not powerful enough. I’m going to myself an even more powerful C7 Corvette ZR1.”
If that’s true, then it takes a truly insane person to drag their newly purchased, 755-horsepower Corvette ZR1 into Hennessey Performance Engineering’s shop and request the 1,000-horsepower HPE1000 package be installed on it.
If you think you may fall under that umbrella of insanity, then allow us to show you this video of HPE completing dyno validation testing on the aforementioned HPE1000 package for their 2019 Corvette ZR1 shop car.
As you’ll see, HPE’s 2019 Corvette ZR1 with the HPE1000 package is good for 905 horsepower and 844 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheels. HPE didn’t sneak some race gas in there to achieve those numbers, either. This white Corvette is running purely on Shell V-Power 93 octane fuel.
The HPE1000 package includes a pulley upgrade for the supercharger, a custom HPE camshaft, ported cylinder heads, new valve springs and retainers, new intake and exhaust valves, upgraded lifters and pushrods, long tube headers, a new mid-pipe, and high flow cats, among more. ZR1s equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission will also require some transmission strengthening upgrades, but the seven-speed manual is strong enough to handle all 900+ whp stock.
If for some reason the HPE1000 package is still too tame, HPE is also offering an HPE1200 package for the 2019 Corvette ZR1. Unsurprisingly, this upgrade kit requires more extreme modifications to the LT5 V8 engine, like a ported supercharger, new upper and lower pulleys and a high flow custom throttle body.
