Chevrolet’s 15 Percent Camaro Discount Continues In April 2019

Chevrolet Camaro sales increased 2 percent to 12,083 units in the first quarter of 2019, rebounding slightly after an ongoing sales slump. But Chevy still has unsold 2018 model year vehicles taking up space on dealer lots even though the refreshed 2019 Camaro is now also on sale. So, in what could be an effort to continue growing sales volume while also selling off the last of 2018 models, a Camaro discount reduces the price of most 2018 models by 15 percent. Chevrolet offered the same incentive in March.

For reference, here are the applicable 2018 and 2019 Camaro trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:

2018 Camaro:

  • 1LS – $26,900
  • 1LT – $27,695
  • 2LT – $31,495
  • 1SS – $37,995

  • 1SS – $37,595
  • 2SS – $42,995
  • 1SE (ZL1) – $62,995

April’s headline-grabbing 15 percent Camaro discount applies to the entire gamut of Camaro models, and does not exclude the range-topping ZL1. Applying this offer to a base 2018 Camaro ZL1 slashes the starting MSRP to $53,045.

Meanwhile, the $1,000 Chevrolet Camaro discount as it applies to an in-stock 2018 Camaro 2SS model with a base MSRP of $42,995 reduces the starting price of that model to $41,995, while, the $500 Chevrolet discount brings the starting price of the 2019 Camaro ZL1 to $62,995.

About Chevrolet Camaro

The Chevrolet Camaro is a family of sports cars that includes a two-door coupe and two-door soft-top convertible as well as various performance variants such as SS, 1LE, ZL1 and ZL1 1LE. The legendary nameplate was first introduced in 1966 and went out of production in 2002, when the model was in its fourth generation. The Camaro was re-introduced in 2009 as an all-new fifth-generation model based on the GM Zeta platform.

The Camaro is currently Chevrolet's most affordable sports car, slotting below the Chevrolet Corvette. The current model was introduced for the 2016 model year and represents the sixth generation of the Camaro nameplate. The model rides on the GM Alpha platform shared with the Cadillac ATS and Cadillac CTS, though the majority of the architecture underpinning the Camaro are unique to it.

The 2018 Chevy Camaro represents the third model year of the sixth-gen Camaro that deleted the Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition and the Krypton Green exterior color, while adding the ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package. There's also an expanded availability of the SS 1LE Track Performance Package, which is now available on the 2SS Coupe, as well as the addition of a washer fluid level sensor.

A midcycle refresh arrives for the 2019 model year that introduces new, model-specific front and rear styling, a new trim level structure for LT models that adds a new 3LT trim, and a new 1LE track performance package for the 2.0L Turbo LTG engine. The 2019 Camaro also brings the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission for SS models, the Rear Camera Mirror, third-generation infotainment systems, and various other enhancements.

The gen six Chevy Camaro is assembled for all markets by GM USA at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan, USA.

  1. Makes you wonder whether there are any sweetheart deals available for new 2017 Chevrolet Camaros that are sitting on a showroom some where; but if we wait a couple of months.. there may be similar discounts on the 9,000+ C7 Corvettes sitting on showrooms across the country as the market for C7 Corvettes is drying up fast as everyone wants a new C8 Corvette.

This time of year GM is selling about 2,000 Corvettes a month. Plus in a few months GM will be Changing over to the C8 Corvette.
      You got nothing Troll.

  2. The Chevy stores in the Rochester, NY, area do not show any Camaros as of 4/20/2019. I did not do any searches beyond the greater rochester area. That said, out here we have Mustangs everywhere one looks, but far fewer Camaros are seen. We even see more Challengers than Camaros. Amazing… Seeing this I wonder where the glut of unsold Camaros actually exists. Not out here.

  3. I’ve really only noticed only one 2019 Camaro on the road while Challengers seem to be everywhere. Why is that?

    1. In fairness I believe Challengers appear to be everywhere because the car has been around for 10 years already and is essentially unchanged visually. However the Camaro is NOT selling as GM had hoped, maybe because their execution of the new model is poor, maybe because the Camaro never had the following the Mustang has enjoyed continuously since 1964. The Camaro came out in 67 and then faded away until it was reintroduced as a 1969 visual clone. Unfortunately, ay least in my mind, the “new” Camaro lost whatever the ’69 had. And maybe GM has engine options on a par with the Mustang that can be stuffed into a Camaro, but I’ve seen none of them. The 5 liter Mustang or whatever the latest iteration of the V8 is, has always made a “vocal” statement when driving by, even without any aftermarket exhaust systems.

  4. I am doubtful on discounts on remaining C7s, in fact the opposite may happen. Purists who want a new front engine ‘vette may stilll want one instead of the GM NSX…

  6. I just check zip code 32828, east of Orlando to the Space Coast. 11 2018/Camaro’s about half 3.6L and the other half 6.2L, but interiors are black, black orange, black red, ugh!
