Last week, the National Corvette Museum said that General Motors would have some small announcements to make with regard to the mid engine Corvette C8 at the 2019 NCM Bash.
While GM refrained from dropping any major details on the Corvette C8Â at the annual NCM Bash, it made good on its word and showed off the new crossed flags logo that will appear on the car.
As shown off by Corvette product manager Harlan Charles in the Corvette Blogger video above, the new crossed flag logo is slightly different than the one that appears on the C7 Corvette. The inside edges of the checkered flag and red Chevrolet flag now touch each other, whereas on the old logo they were separated and formed more of a ‘v’ shape in the middle. The crossed flags logo has been changed for every generation of Corvette.

Just like on the current Corvette C7, Chevrolet will be offering the crossed flags badge with a bright chrome finish or a gloss grey finish on the Corvette C8.
The logo had previously leaked through online and was also pictured in a video that purported to show the Corvette C8’s start-up animation. In that video, the crossed flags badge was pictured with the gloss grey border.
Additionally, GM also announced that the the 25th Corvette C8 to roll of the production line in Bowling Green would be given to the NCM for it to raffle off at its 25th Anniversary Celebration in August. Tickets for the raffle will be $25.
The mid engine Corvette C8 is set to make its debut on July 18th, 2019.

Tthis news is what I like………….the mid engine is real friends!!
You know what sucks about the C8? Once it is revealed we will have to listen to people nick pick it apart.
I don’t like this about it, that about it, would of done this differently. You know that crap that people use to bring a car or truck down.
It’s so sad because we should be praising this new Corvette not tearing it down!!!
We should be thanking GM for finally making the mid engine Corvette a reality.
Unfortunately this is the world we live in Brian, everyone has an opinion and thinks that everyone want’s to hear about it or it must be told…
auto manufacturing isn’t pee wee soccer where everyone gets a participation trophy.
My point is that people have asked for a mid engine Corvette for decades and now that its here people will still find a way to complain.
