2019 Cadillac XT4 Wins Middle East Car Of The Year Award

Things are going well for General Motors and its new 2019 Cadillac XT4 crossover SUV. Having launched in late 2018, the compact luxury crossover is earning customers and winning awards, having just become the best-selling vehicle in its segment in the United States during the first quarter of 2019 while also being named the Best Compact Premium SUV in the Middle East Car of the Year Awards.

“We are extremely honored to receive this award, having only launched late 2018 the XT4 has already set a benchmark in the compact SUV market with functionality, sportiness and, being a Cadillac, a true premium look and feel,” said Christian Soemmer, Managing Director, Cadillac Middle East in a statement.

Now in their sixth year, the Middle East Car of the Year Awards have 19 of the region’s top automotive journalists judging and selecting winning vehicles. Nominated vehicles go through a multistage test before being shortlisted. Only one vehicle per category can win the award.

For GM, not only is the Cadillac XT4 a crucial product at a crucial time, one when the popularity of crossover SUVs is growing rapidly, but also because the new crossover is the first of several all-new, future Cadillac models to arrive over the next two years. In fact, the Cadillac XT4 will be joined by the all-new Cadillac XT6 and Cadillac CT5 as part of six all-new models to be introduced over the next two-and-a-half-years.

  1. The XT4 is a neat little CUV and hopefully in time will get some excitement

  2. So the export model gets the 19″ Equinox wheels?

  3. What a joke. It wins in a part of the world where it barely sells 1000 units a year.

    1. If it even sells that many… but even at that volume, considering an ATP of $40,000, that’s a nice $40 million USD in revenue for shipping a few units to the Middle East. Chump change, but easy chump change no less.

  4. Honestly, I was very upset with the appearance of this car, I really hoped that the design would be more aggressive but anyway thank you for the info.
